Why not just release the logo or paint scheme (or select it while being a merc or a merc for the inner sphere) and use existing mechs. Wolf dragoons rpers use exisitng clan and inner sphere mechs,

And if some cool new mech like the imp or annihilator, why not in general market for everyone?

I think a general release as opposed to a specialized release would be better. After all, Outreach did become the merc headquarters, and it has been stated that the Dragoon's did start selling some of the proprietary designs in altered formats. The actual dragoon loadouts could become hero mechs. As for the mechs, I notice no one mentioned the Gallowglas. It is a very nice heavy, and one I would love to have. The Falcon is a good light. As for the assault, I would be ok with the annihilator, although I will concede some concern for someone figuring out a 4 gauss outfit to it.

The original mission of Wolf's Dragoons was to scout the inner sphere for the Clan Invasion. You can already play out that role yourself staying a mercenary and changing faction loyalties every contract. I've been doing that since I started doing CW drops.

As to Dragoon mechs. They arrived in the inner sphere with pristine Star League ERA mechs which however included ones developed from prototypes/plans taken with the exodus fleet not realizing they were either extinct or unheard of in the inner sphere. The canon TRO histoy has revealed other such mechs which even the exodus fleet / clans lacked, such as the War Dog which didn't go into production until post-invasion in the inner shere (the plans and prototypes were found in 3052). While the dragoons did have some rather odd mechs like the flea, imp, marauder II, Annihilator and some of the Hoppies, they also
had versions of the Archer, Warhammer, Rifleman, Marauder, etc.
