I know this might be petty change for some of the pros here but I've never broken 200k CBills with the 12v12 economy. I've come close a few times. Mind you this is with a hero mech (The Boar's Head) so I do have a 30% bonus but there was not premium time.

I used to regularly get between 200-250k on my Heavy Metal after the 30% boost in the 8v8 game.

I've hit 180-190k a few times with non heroes, mainly missile support that can rack up tons of spots, tags and assists.

EDIT: Weird how the "C-BILLS EARNED" number up top is wrong.

If everyone opened a topic for a single screenshot with over 200k c-bills with a hero mech, the forums would be a mess.

I thought it was relevant since some people are crying that the economy has been nerfed. Lets see your screen shot.

Wait, i thought you said you used to get 200-250 no problem before the nerf, and then say this? I'd say you are pretty much proof that there has been a giant nerf? :)

This so much, He just proved the giant nerf by what he said.

Isn't 209k between 200 and 250?

The Boar's Head wasn't around in 8v8 which is why I gave you the Heavy Metal example.

First you say you never broken it till now, then you say you used to get it regularly. I take it that you have played more than 1 game since the nerf => you gave pretty much proof of the nerf.

Clear enough? :D

Fair enough. To be clear, I'm not denying there was a nerf. I'm saying some people are crying that the economy has been nerfed and therefore I felt it was relevant to share a success story. Seeing as how The Boar's Head has only been out for a week and I've just recently mastered it and found some good load-outs, I think it will become a very effective farmer hitting that 200k+ C-BILL mark often.

As an aside about the 200-250k that you keep quoting:

Heavy Metal used to be a more effective farmer before ghost heat, gauss rework, ppc nerf and screen shake which is when I went on a Highlander binge and made my millions. I don't expect the stars to align like that again but I certainly enjoyed it while it lasted.

It's not a success story really since it's a hero mech followed by your not acheiving it on average. The reason some people are "crying" is because it is no longer the average but the rare game.

LOL

The number that you need to compare is your average earnings over time. Not the best ever game you have scored since the cbill earnings were nerfed.

I'm probably pretty average but I have recently being leveling up Jagermechs without premium time or other cbill bonuses. I have played 157 matches in these with 90 wins and 67 losses and a K/D number about 1. Total earnings have been about 10 to 11 million yielding an average of 60k to 70k cbills/match. I tend to play to win rather than optimize my cbill earnings so this may be a factor (i.e. support team mates, focus fire, not chasing the kill shot ...) ... it is better from a winning perspective to help eliminate an opponent rather than do a little damage to a large number of opponents.

Anyway ... I suspect these numbers are more representative of average earnings than your hero mech boosted 200k/match.

That just proves how screwed up (earnings wise) Conquest is compared to the Assualt gametype...

I used to LOVE Conquest... back in Jan/Feb.. with my Raven 3L... when it ruled the game....

I amazingly did the same damage you did in that game with my Atlas DDC... yet its the KILL Assists and Savior Kills that get you money in this game... not damage.... 4 assists give you more money than 1000 damage in this game..... (3.2 assists actually)

PROOF BELOW I was in Atlas DDC

You just have to be more a team player to earn cbill now.
Kill Assist and Spotting are big money maker, not so much with Kills and Damage.

Getting 4 kills, 5 assist and 500+ damage in my 3 PPC 8Q only made 113k Cbill, pre-bonus.
Spoiler

150k in a Kintaro from 1 kill, 8 assist, 3 spotting and only 300+ damage.
Spoiler

Maybe that is why there is such an outcry about the cbill nerf, because most player pilot expensive Assault mechs but are earning less than Light and Medium.
I used to made less money in mediums back in 8v8 due to the low number of kills and damage, the new reward system has been a boon to me.

Xengk: what you are describing is not playing as a teamplayer. Best payout: hit every mech and hope the rest of your team takes them out. Good for winning the game: screw the other mechs, take one out as fast as possible, then move to the next. What do you think does the most for the outcome of the game: 12 mechs with a little damage spread over them, or 12 mechs of which 2 are dead.

I give up...12 mechs with a little damage spread over them?

Explanation: 12 mechs with some damage spread over them (which happens if everyone goes for the max payout option: damage every mech, but just tag them as fast as possible) means that 12 mechs are still shooting at you and killing you. 12 mechs of which 2 are dead (which happens when you play to win) means only 10 mechs are still shooting at you, giving you the best chance to win the game and survive.

Being a teamplayer means doing the things needed to win (killing the enemy), not just doing the things that provide you with the biggest payout (hitting every mech and having the rest of the team clean up).

At this moment, winning the game is irrelevant, only getting a lot of tags on the enemy matters, and that is not what teamplay is about.

IC Rafe is correct. I get paid better when I just wick laser fire over as many enemy mechs as I can vs taking a couple out. And the way the meta game is right now I want more cash then I want to help my team out. That just shouldn't be how it is.
