I think you may be right. I think one of the devs said on Twitter that Dx11 was delayed, and I interpret "possible" as "don't get your hopes up". Still, to quote Jack Nicholson, "We still got one out of three, and that ain't bad."

They are demoing UI 2.0 on Bryan Ekman's Twitch.tv stream right now.
Oh, and the new map, and DX11.

That must've been a short stream b/c all I'm seeing is "offline" at http://www.twitch.tv/bryanekman... although the guys on the NGNG stream are apparently still talking about it.
Oh, there is a recording: http://www.twitch.tv...man/b/472237522

Actually, they did, they lied about that one thing: The Split Queues.
Any way you slice it, it was a lie.
Assuming they will lie about anything else, or that they have, or indeed that they will never lie again, is obtuse and short-sighted.
They are a business in the modern world and will thus "have to tell a lie" again at some point in the future, unless they have solved not only the issues with DX11 and Collisions, but indeed have solved the millenia old problem "why are human beings deceitful toolbags?"
Saying they have "lied" about ending a pre-order deal which they have now not ended is... seriously reaching. I mean, seriously.
Besides, it let me still buy it once they actually released some new info on CW (which is still vaporware, but the info given at least gave me the impression they were hard at work on it.)

He was talking about the preorder, not split queues. They did not lie about the preorder at all, which you mention, unless they eventually make it permanently available.

Point is, as they figured/hoped that their would be a small enough section of people that would want to use it on a regular basis that it made no sense to conitune with the plan to split the cues up.
and lets look at the use of the word "Lie" there is a differnence in intending something and stating that intention and then down the line realities create the need for a change of position. But what was told initially was belived to be the truth. VS a deliberate mistatement of truth.
For example, way back when, my step mother asked if I my friends where coming over that night......I said no, as to my knowledge we had not discussed getting together in any form. However a while later, without notification they came by.
Now I was wrong in my statement, but did not "Lie"(despite her accusations). How can I lie about something that changes from the origional plan based off the information at hand.
Everything changes as things develope in life, business or sports, and because things change does not make a person a Liar

A note on development phases.
- In design 1 – A twinkle in our eyes, we are still brain storming.
- In design 2 – Feature brief has been presented to stake holders for vetting.
- In design 3 – Design has been approved and is being broken down into user stories.
- Ready for development – Design complete, waiting for resources to be assigned.
- In development – Resources assigned and actively working on feature.
- Ready for internal test – Feature is complete and ready to be tested by QA.
- Ready for public test – Feature has past basic internal testing parameters and is ready for public testing.
Thanks for explaining the phases... it does help a lot. Eager to see the new UI as soon as its ready!
