Yet the October update didn't hit till the 8th.... and most likely if we see it today it will be after the patch.

Who knows what today's patch actually contains though. I'm going to wager the announcement of the hero Catapult (Jester) and unfortunately not much else at the moment.

I am hoping for geo updates for catapult variants or at least one mech getting geo updates

IIRC, Bryan is not @ PGI at the moment.... he's on some trip. So, it's most likely delayed if it wasn't written in advance. See his twitter.

While I think everyone should have vacations, and business trips always put a kink in things, but with the history of bad communication from PGI, I really think it would be in their best interests to put out some information, regardless of where he is. If he can go on Twitter, he obviously has an internet connection and no excuse not to at least let everyone know when it will be. I think the game is amazing, and I have a blast every night in it, but this lackadaisical attitude to communication is wearing pretty thin, even to us White Knights.

See, I don't really do the twits. I don't mind it being late, but I wish he'd tell us in a place that would actually make sense to check if I wanted MWO news.

In the most recent ask the devs they said ATD and the monthly CDU would be using a new format, so maybe that's got something to do with it too. They have also not yet started a new ATD thread today (as they normally do on Fridays).

This is normal for PGI. The fact that "brief communication stints" are common, you need to be used to it. They keep telling us they "communicate often", but if you think this isn't the norm, I have swampland to sell you...
