In the most recent ask the devs they said ATD and the monthly CDU would be using a new format, so maybe that's got something to do with it too. They have also not yet started a new ATD thread today (as they normally do on Fridays).

'Well it's been a busy couple of weeks. The new ATD and CDU have just finished the conceptual phase and are moving on to development. Expect to see them on the test server in a few weeks...say around February 15th. From there we will fix the bugs and be ready for roll out. So the next CDU should be available very soon, maybe in our August 1st patch. This is all dependent on the release of UI 2.0. So that could effect the time frame. Happy hunting Mechwarriors.'

'This is not an official statement. All representatives are fictional and do not represent any individual.'

UI 2.0. - are you coming darling? Tired waiting for you :-)

That is only IMHO, but project developes rather SLOW!
And that is not "slow", that is "SLOW".

When do we expect to form an adequate world - in 2 years, or something?
That is not worth waiting.
Money - only money. But the spirit is lost.
Abt 30% of my friends dropped this totally "tiered waiting for miracle".
But promisess go on :-)

Yeah, was not thrilled about having to hunt that down and listen to it for news. That went double when it turned out there was no meat on the bones, per se; Bryan kept talking about really really specific UI2 stuff. Sure, it's great that you're considering someone's request to change the colours that show an equipped/unequipped weapon, but I sorta figured your design team would have that part covered instead of needing you and all of NGNG to weigh in on each tiny change like that. The CDU is important because it tells us how the things that are keeping people playing in hopes of their release are coming, like Community Warfare. Is it coming along? What's changed in the last month? How close are we to choosing factions? Had any cool new thoughts on how it's going to work? What about the attack/defend game mode that's so important to CW?

I'm guessing that only a tiny fraction of the people here are actually waiting for UI2 because they just can't stand the current interface, particularly because the hardpoints are not colour coded. We want UI2 because it means that there's some actual tangible progress being made towards CW, as it was the last stated hurdle that needed to be cleared before development could begin full steam ahead on that.

The reason why the devs never come to the forums any more, is that they realize that they have burned us over and over too many times. PGI ran off most of the original Founders and Beta people. Then ran off the next generation of fans, until no one on the forums believes anything PGI says any more.

CW ... will be coming soon. Everything will be coming soon. Been hearing the same thing for over a year now. PGI is just working a new demographic to keep the money coming in.

I'm guessing the next major thing to be announced will not be CW. It will be the first clan mech pack. 4 clan mechs for 120 dollars with premium time. Timberwolf will not be in that pack. The only thing that seems to be on time is the next monetary item, everything else is kool aid.

Just to recap and play with this forum debacle.

We went from Alpha to Closed Beta, to Open Beta to...

I declare this ~ Open Cappa!

In Open Cappa Mechwarrior Online is finished- but not finished, simultaneously, having attained a quantum level of existence in the theoretical Universe of Soon*.

*Trademarked for all of time in a paradox loop that joins all forum threads together in state of perpetual angst.

I'm going to re-post this here considering it ended up over in Jettisoned buried within another thread. It is still highly relevant however and deserves re-posting.

I'm going to chime in here and say as a Legendary Founder playing through the days of closed beta, I have to wholeheartedly agree with the OP. Apologies for the long diatribe ahead but I've said all this before and it continues to be frustrating.

PGI, take note please.

We. Need. Content.

While you have gotten somewhat better with your communication to us as a collective in the past two months (I say somewhat because it's now November 12th and NO NEW UPDATE from you), there needs to be action on what little you're communicating. Content that you've continually promised to us. Content that has been "shown" to us. Content that has been "teased" at. In my humble opinion you have not done enough in this regard and you desperately need to start delivering. Want to make money with this game? Then you need to release content.

Shiny new mechs every now and then and the occasional new map is not enough to keep us busy and occupied with the game, let alone continue our interests. We need something to DO with those mechs.

It has been almost a year now, a YEAR, since you've been promising CW and UI 2.0, let alone DX11.

I realize things take time to develop, but from a business standpoint you are completely stagnant. I'm not sure who the culprit is here, but as a businessman myself you need to spend money to make money.

Is it lack of time developed to programming new features?

Is it a hesitation of your "backers" to spend more of your profits to expand this game? (and I don't mean us Founders or anyone else who has purchased MC, but rather those mystery "stakeholders" you've referred to)

Is it incompetence? (I personally don't believe this myself but it needs to be said)

What has happened here? I remember when you would just roll out something new like Artemis Targeting and just throw it to us like rabid dogs.

We ate it up.

We both realized it was broken immediately.

You hotfixed it within days.

Did you sometimes overstep the hotfix and nerf/buff too much? Certainly, but that is the beauty of a persistant online game like this. You continue to tune and adjust.

CONSTANT CHANGE. NOT STAGNATION.

You need to keep changing. Things like broken HSR. Broken hit detection. SRM issues/registration. Mech hitbox problems (Awesome, Spider, etc). These are things that have been known to be broken, admittedly by yourself, and they have gone unchanged for many, many months while you instead you continue to try to release new mechs to distract us from the state of the game in general.

Please PGI, redirect your efforts and focus on the task at hand.

Expansion. Delivered promises. Communication.

CONTENT.

Thank you if you happen to read this PGI. An acknowledgement of your understanding how a majority of us (and no, not what you deem "silent minority of the forums") feel would be appreciated.

Signed,

It's only a gamma release.

Just wait for community warfare.
They'll fix it.
But they're switching to two mechs a month. In september. 2012.
Entitled gold founders!
But we're getting DX11. Soon. Next month. Confirmed for october. 2012. I mean, 90 days after release.
ECM is working as intended.

So no November CDU as of yet, no wonder they said UI2.0 would be released with in 3 weeks of "launch", they don't have calendars in the office. Oh and who the hell knows what the 6 months for CW meant. Pretty sure the only deadlines they hit involve things you can spend MC on.

Seriously guys play something else, don't give them anymore time and money.

This is not the game your looking for. As I have said in posts before if this did not have the Battletech/Mechwarrior licence would you still be playing and paying for this? Hell no obviously. After playing in closed Beta I had such high hopes. Base game amazing, played great and then nothing happened. Now well over a year later still nothing. I activated my premium time at launch but after the new smell of my Phoenix mechs wore off I was in the same boat...for the love of all that is holy and unholy make some new modes, give the people something. Until then I will not spend a dime or waste a minute on this game.

Sadly I still check the forums and seeing the October update still up...it looks pretty bush to have the update for last month on your front page. If you have nothing to give people at least take last months down.

Bryan just came back from a two weeks break so I am sure he needed some time to work on the new update. I wouldn't be surprised if we got it tonight or tomorrow. But we'll see. It is a fact that they stink at the Calendar.

The PGI offices are located in a part of Canada where time moves much slower than the rest of the world (also known as PGI Time), see, for PGI it's still early 2012... 3 weeks for them is like 3 months for us

To tell you the truth I would be more surprised if we got one today or tomorrow or in November. I mean honestly, remove a couple of mentions of siesmic changes and they can just repost the October Update for November. I'm sure the numbers and timeframe are still the same. Copy/Paste/Done.

Two thoughts:
A)
1 month normal time = 1yr. Internet time = 1 day PGI time

B ) what are we all doing waiting for November's CDU update when we now should basically be looking towards December's...

Edit: took unwanted smiley out

I don't get why people are clamoring for the Nov CDU so hard. Does http://mwomercs.com/...pdate-november/ not mean anything? Do you just want the title to be CDU and not technical update?

It's like if they don't tell you every little thing they do the second they do it, they must just be sitting there twiddling their diddles ;) Next time you do the laundry, write out every piece of clothing you're going to wash before you do it and compare how long that takes to just washing your grubbies.

This is the ANNOUNCEMENTS forum. Do I have to do a forum search every single month to find out where their new TODO list is at. Like some kind of crazy version of Where's Waldo.

Plus, tell your spouse that you will do the laundry today. What happens if you then fail to do it...See MWO Forums.
