Thats right! No more! I´m done with it! Tossed it out of the window! Never again! I will not turn back!
After nearly ten month of harresment and horror, I´m actually free!
For five days now, I have had not a single crash to desktop, no FRead-Error, no failed memory allocation, no screen freezes! Nothing at all!
I actually feel free enough to make this post!
How you ask?
Well, I have tried many things. Hundreds of re-installs. Every available nvidia driver. Repair-tool over and over again. Switch from 32 to 64bit OS. Uninstalls of several programs. Nothing did any good.
Then, I got some new RAM. I just wanted to upgrade from 4gb to 8gb. Since I had rather cheap modules, I decided to get a new kit. After installing that, I got three blue screens. I then went in the bios to change some settings. Turns out there was some overclocking going on I didn´t even know about. It seems this was already implemented when I bought the system. So I went back to the fail-safe defaults. Since that: No more errors!
What can you make of this for yourself?
I don´t know. If you have the amount of errors and crashes I had before this (full-crash-average of every second to third game), you will most likely be desperate enough to try anything. So why not mess with your RAM a littel. It might be worth it!

Most of us may take it for granted that a gamer who is trouble shooting issues like yours will reset bios back to default settings but many don't (from personal discussions). What also needs to be remembered is that it may not simply be 1 item but a combination of things work against the gamer.
