No jumpjets... it's inferior to the Cataphract 3D for that type of build. The Thunderbolt in my eyes just offers some flavour in the heavy range, nothing new or unique unlike the Locust (past speed cap) or the Shadowhawk (multi-tool 55ton mech unlike the kintaro (missile) or sabre ones). The Battlemaster will need to see on the field for size and speed, but the Victor could still outpace and out-meta it.

yeah not really the point.
Point is the Mech has 3 tiny lasers in it's torso, and a big honking gun in it's arm, and small MGs in the left. You know few people will put the bug gun in the arm, most WILL instead cram the Torso with them (gonna be even worse on the Battlemaster) and if any arm DOES get a big gun it'll be som ehuge AC or Gauss where the MGs once were.
I just love knowing none fo these mechs will remotely resemble the canon ones within a week

Really for Meta?
It's a good thought but trip ppc's are so last year.
For meta I expect this
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...c19e78746713a23
Switching out the BAP for AMS or visa versa as directed.
The only reason I use AMS anymore is because the release of the BH there are a lot less DDC's around, I expect this to bounce back soon.
However on the Jumping T-bolt i fully expect to see trip ppc's or double ppc's in the torso.

OH I wish they ran that. That second SSRM turning the whole thing into a giant Hunchie...... oh baby yeah.
BTW... Gauss is so not on any Meta build...it takes actual skill to use one now!

Fair point.
I guess I should take off my rose tinted neurohelmet and conform.
So what I guess x2 AC5's or a AC10 then?

So wait, since I use AC/5's, 10's or 20's i'm using the meta weapons?
S**t.
I love the booming sound of an Autocannon firing and the massive detonations of my rounds as they hit their targets... They take real skill to use at extreme range since both ballistic drop and lead are different for each one. Plus, I was using the AC/10 during the whole ERPPC/Gauss meta, so I'm ahead of the curve!

I love the sound of the AC10, even more so than the AC20. it just sounds soooo...Butch!
You want some real fun, put x3 AC10's on a muromets with 7 tons of ammo.
Then Chainfire them. Sounds like a Battleship's guns volley'n it's so awesome, then after the 2nd shot watch people go screaming away from you.

Good but not quite there yet.
They need a range increase to 500-520m for them to be Truly good.
I just find all my engagements happening at 480m and it drives me nuts that my cannons are not doing full dmg.

That's like comparing the QDK PPC in torso to it's arm mounting, against similar mounting of medium lasers... I don't think PPC's in the Torso are going to be tiny, I think they've allowed alot of expansion room in the torso for the graphical mesh for mulitple PPC's.

I would probably dump the Guass and ERPPC to dual AC5's and upgrade the SSRM to SRM4's or similiar. I find I love dual AC5 over the boom of the AC10 because as you mentioned the range of engagements these days.

SRM's are too erratic for me, i'm only getting about 50% of my hits registering.
It's probably not "That" bad but it feel like it, and when I absolutely NEED it, it is never there for me. Nothing worse than seeing a Cherry red Torso and volly'n 12 SRM's into it for no damage and then him killing you moments later.
So SSRM's

Yea I drop a Victor with twin ASRM4's... against small targets they are hit and miss, but against the larger targets I hunt they seem to do ok. The SSRM for me though just spread out way too much, I prefer the ability to put damage where I want it, hence the SRM's.

LOL saw one of those the other day, alphas all the way trying to hit a spider. so painfull to watch, using it completely wrong, unless you've got god's given eyesight to hit them with slow projectiles these days.

eh, I'm not remotely referring to their visual geometry. I'm referring to their actual designs and roles and how the metahumpers will butcher them. A Battlemaster was designed with it's heavy weapon in it's arms, support weapons in torso. \what we will get is a mech carrying support weapons in the arms, and heavy energy in the torso, aka the exact opposite of how the mech was designed to be. Call me old, I'd like mechs to actually be used for the basic roles they were actually designed for.
