This is a new video series dedicated to MWO. The first episode is a quick and dirty intro to the client and game with some basic tutorial to get into the action fast. As well, I provide some advice that is well known amongst the community but new guys may have not heard of yet.

Please enjoy!

P.S. Please leave feedback in the comments section of the video and NOT here. Thanks so much and I hope you new guys all enjoy!

Also, did you like the Intro???

Dude, those videos are awesome. I myself watch NGNG on a very frequent basis, so I kind of knew all the info before hand. However, I still think those videos are EXTREMELY helpful, very detailed & well done.

If I would have seen just that first one, before I started watching NGNG for example, it would have answered MANY of my noobish questions. Bravo man, I will do what I can to spread your videos.

In fact, I have a friend who is getting into MWO because of me, I will order him to watch your videos so he's not a total noob when he & I play together for the first time.

P.S. the intro is pretty dang sweet.

I watched both of these last night. Your production was very good, and your explanations were informative. I'm certain many newcomers will find these quite valuable as they learn the ins-and-outs of MWO.

One slight suggestion if I may be so bold: I enjoy your extemporaneous commentary, but you may want to discipline yourself to not insert verbal "ticks" like aah and umm as they can be distracting to some folks. Every public speaker, radio DJ, etc. has to eventually learn to overcome this very common speech pattern. I'm sure it will only increase your already excellent overall production values.

I wish you much success with the series, and will be looking forward to further installments.

I'm glad they were helpful to all of you guys and I hope for it to be a long running series! I DO need to work on my verbal "ticks" as well as tone down my "southern" accent a little bit. I was just telling someone the other day how much the "ahhs" and "ums" were irritating me. I do the audio from a script that I've drawn up beforehand, but they still sneak in. Enjoy guys and thanks again!!

I agree with MrThorp, I think a very detailed video on not just weapon groups, but also the mechanics of firing, and chainfiring as well would be a nice tutorial for a noobie.

Maybe even advice on how to group weapons for better heat management etc.

Also, Thorp, are you pressing ENTER to set the weapon grouping?

I am not 100% sure on this, sorry if it turns out I am wrong, but if I remember correctly, Try it again, following these instructions & let me know if it does anything:

-Use the left/right arrow keys to pick a column (This will determine the number of the weapon group)
-Now use the Up/Down Arrow Keys to select a weapon or weapons
-Once the weapon or weapons you have chosen have been highlighted, press the right control button, this should make the number change to blue instead of being grayed out.
-Press enter after all the weapons have been highlighted.
