Trying to Make a command line in the User.cfg to keep the game from excceding 60 fps.

But I have no user.cfg file in the mwo folder and I have unhidded every thing.
Can I just cope the system.cfg file and delete every thing and just rename the file and add the command line?

Im new to this so help would be great.

You can just create a text file and name it user.cfg and add the commands to it that you need to. Make sure you have Windows set to show file extensions for known file types or you could end up with a file that's really named user.cfg.txt and that won't work.

Well it didn't work,

Do I name the file
user.cfg or User.cfg?

And what is the command line for the frame rate limit

I tried, but did not work.
sys_MaxFPS = 60

is there a different command for this ?

So: One way to do what you want is to open a text editor up, type in "sys_MaxFPS = 60" then save it with the name "user.cfg" into the "MechWarrior Online" subdirectory, wherever you put that.

But, when I do that myself, I get an extra 5 fps; I can only assume that happens to help v-sync work.

My advice is to get a copy of nVidia Inspector, get to the Driver Profile Settings page, find "MechWarrior Online" in the dropdown from hell, and set the Frame Rate Limiter there to 60. Or less, if you are trying to do something about fps drops: There are plenty of other settings you should turn down first, but having a steady 45 (for example,) come hell or high water, is kind'a nice.

put this into your user.cfg and systemoverride.cfg

also note that if you're not getting more than 60fps then this def wont work.

sys_PakPriority = 0
sys_PakPriority 0
sys_PakValidateFileHash = 0
sys_MaxFPS = 60

open up notepad.exe and copy and paste that in there.

save as user.cfg in C:\Games\Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online

and you are set bud!

system.cfg should be there already :)
