I'm headed off to bed, disappointed and disgusted by this game.
I looked forward to the new maps - as always, and yet I never saw it tonight.
I guess I better launch a testing grounds on the map tomorrow if I want to see it.
Random sucks.

For 6 months or more, every time a new map is released, half the community starts to b!tch more than Betty "MAKE IT STOP", "PLEASE, NO MORE MAP (X)" after it`s been out for a week because the raised frequency was too often for their fragile minds to handle.
So Now, they (apparently) don`t raise the frequency, and the very first thing that happens is that people that KNOW that map selection is based on RNG start whining about never seeing the map, completely disregarding the luck factor of random selection and blaming the Devs for ****** their goldfish. After mere DAYS.
So essentially the community is now once again saying "**** you, PGI, you can`t do it right anyway, even if you do exactly what we want.
And you people (meaning teh community as a whole) still expect to be listened to and taken seriously? OOOOOOooo kaaaay.... 0.o

One thing is to constantly drop in a map wich you don't like (being a good or a bad map in one's perspective. People always complain about bad maps, new or old) and another thing is to play 40 matches and not see the new map. There can be no complaining about "getting it out of rotation" or "decrease the map's frequency" if one does not play on it.
I, on the other hand, enjoyed a new map in MONTHS. I started playing in December and my new maps were: Tourmaline, Alpine, Terra therma and maybe River city Night. Common sense says that those are bad maps. TT is the most neat looking, but is so huge and so hot that it's almost not enjoyable.
Since the patch i only got the map 5 times. I've played so many matches i can't count. It's like i got every other map 5 or more times. I thought that they would increase the new map's frequency, because people would want the get the feel of it, and then decide if they like it or not, and decide if they were gonna complain about the map's frequency.
Now, what i see here is an ignorant trying to show that he understands what's going on, but has shown no effort to understand what drives people to the forum to complain. You simply can't expect other people to do the same like me and start explaining to ignorants like you what has made me come here.

Apparently it's set to double the likelihood of any other map.
However it feels like they've misplaced a decimal point.

They did, just not by a crazy amount like before, since people were always b*tching about it.
It's 11 maps now, which means that the chance of getting it would normally be somewhere in the interval of (9,10)%. Ever did MMORPG raiding with such a droprate? I did not, but it's easy to find thousands of people who did and killed some mob hundreds of times and got nothing while some random dude got it on the first try. That's the power of randomness, my friend.

It seems the community is never happy when they get what they asked for.
1. Larger maps
2. A lobby where they can organize lances and talk tactics before a match.
I can go on and on...

Exactly why there should have been a map selection process and a lobby system to begin with.
