As the 100 tons of mech, Atlas not deterrence. Many people see atlas more like to attack. Armor is not dominant, fire is not dominant.

This subforum is for Feature Suggestions, not whining that PGI won't give you a way to buy a match win by taking the biggest toy so you can stomp all over anyone foolish enough not to bring their Atlas.

No offense Fureiya but I think you're missing the point of an Atlas. It isn't supposed to be something enemies flee from, its supposed to be the mech they focus on. It has the most armor of any mech currently and can therefore take the most fire, this and that fact that it is so deadly causes the enemy to focus on them and ignore their teammates. If an atlas leads a charge with lets say two mediums and a heavy the enemies will shoot at the atlas while the two mediums and heavy are free to blast away taking only minor hits to their thinner armor. If everything goes well the lance can drop an enemy or two and soften up others, the atlas can get behind cover and now the "fresh" mediums and heavy can finish the fight with the atlas making shots from cover. As an accomplished atlas pilot I know this works. An atlas is a hammer, you just have to know how to swing it.
