I just found that mech in the trial.

This mech is faster than all my medium and better heat efficiency and better armor.

Can the CN9 a be copied into c?

I don't really see what my fireband and my muromets have better than other normal mech but this one the cn9 a c appear to be much better than anything else.

I'm missing something or this hero mech is the best ever?

It's not a Hero Mech.

It's a Champion, which is basically a community designed build on a stock mech that gets an XP point bonus. Yes, you can EASILY make the CN9-A duplicate all but the XP bonus

I have another centurion and I can't match this engine and armor and heat effeciency. Anyway, I'll buy the A and try it again.

I don't understand what I'm doing wrong with my other centurion. I can't get near that c build.
thanks anyway.

I understand that I cannot copy it.

But I can't get near what the C is. No way. I can't fit that engine with that armor.

You are very likely building it wrong.

You need to spend on the following:
Double Heat Sinks
Endo
Ferro Fibrous
Artemis

Once you do that, you can replicate that build (assuming you have all the money necessary).

The "stock" Champion CN9-A build:
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...b#i=102&l=stock

The actual cost to do ALL of the same stuff:
CN9-A

Only differences between my posted build from the champion is armor distribution changes (remove arm armor over the leg armor) and better ammo locations (instead of the left leg deathtrap).

exactly.

You must have the CN9-A chassis, then purchase the upgrades. And it upgrades EVERYTHING. It'll set you back about 3 million in just upgrades, the cost of the engine, and weapons.

Slight tangent I know, but...
If you build a CN9-A to look like the CN9-A[C] Smurphy shows the cost to be just over 9M Cbills.
You can actually buy the CN9-A[C] though for 1850 MC meaning your getting a 4900:1 CBill:MC ratio which seems to be one of the better deals out there.
The source of this uplift seems to be the fact that the CN9-A[C] comes with Ferro Armor, Endo Structure, DHS and Artemis IV all as standard.

( Smurfy CN9-A Champion copy fit )

All champion mechs are just regular variants that come with a customer build and an added experience boost. All of the champion builds can be recreated easily with C-bills.

Only Chump-ions use no ballistics on Centurions.

That stock champion is not very good, tbh.
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...b#i=102&l=stock
Better go like this:
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...45a725596defe3b
Or go a bit further:
http://mwo.smurfy-ne...07200d136fae864
Or revamp the whole thing:

Drop 275 engine to 270, 36 armor and switch from SRM4 to SRM6.

Not trying to troll, just a newbee, but the 1st two improvements seem to be addressing heat issues, increasing DHS from 11 to 13, which would imply that it's a problem and needs addressing.

Your revamp though actually reduces DHSs from 11 (stock) to 10. Surely this leaves you with an even bigger heat problem?

By dropping the engine from 275 to 270 you lose the +1 Heat Sink and 1MT. The next major step down is when you drop to 245. So you could drop from 275 to 250, still have 10 DHS on the engine. You can then add a DHS (back to 11 = stock) and add most of the armor back. Not sure how bad the 250 engine would be though. Still worry that heat could be a problem.

Would you ever combine SRM4 & SRM6?

Not really since ML's are way cooler than MPL's.

275 engine does not give you a free heat sink, it just gives you room for one. Or what did you mean?

Sorry my mistake, completely missed that you changed the ML for MPLs in the first two builds.

Thats what I meant. With Ferro & Endo space can be a premium though.
