Because the DEV's put in Ghost Heat, those users who use macros now have an advantage over everyone else. Why?
-Put 5 LL on chain fire so you chain shoot a LL about every 1/2 second OR macro to fire 3 LL then 2 LL on target to get focused damage
-Put 4 LRM 15's on chain fire so you shoot a LRM15 every 1/2 second against a mech with AMS and have 11 LRM'***** per volley OR macro 2 LRM 15's volleys every 1/2 sec against a mech with AMS and have 26 LRM'***** per volley (you would get 8 more LRM's over chain fire due to AMS in the previous scenario)
- If you are a hack, you would run 2 PPC + 1 Gauss with a macro present to allow it that when you take your finger off the fire button it chains both the PPC's + Gauss to fire without having to hit both buttons at once. This is actually the only macro at this time that is a prime example of how PGI can't code.
I run those macros myself to make my life easier with the ghost heat. Right now stating macros don't give you an advantage is a joke. Now, stating that PGI can remove macros though, there is very little they can do against macros without investing a lost of time and even then they will fail.
You are, of course, failing to read what I actually wrote.
Please reread the post you responded to
very carefully. I'll even be nice and re-quote it here with
bolded letters for emphasis..

No, seriously, explain to us how a macro gives AC2 users an advantage. Tell us... what do they do with said macro that angers you so?
Do you see it yet?
Please note how a certain troll is yet to respond to that...!
For the record, I
have seen someone use a macro to do a quick burst of 4 AC2 shells like a quarter second spaced per shell, then pause for a half second... but that actually lowers DPS, alpha and increases the odds of spreading damage, so I don't really see how that provides an advantage.
The whole macro business is largely dramatically overstated. (but I do agree there are cases, like the ones you presented, where having a macro makes life much easier)
