By Blender, I mean that it is acting as if the A and S buttons are stuck down, leaving me in a forever spinning mode.
So I have done the following:
Unplugged any unnecessary hardware/joysticks etc. from the system.
Ran the repair tool
rebooted my system in to another OS (Server 2012) and tested it.
It worked fine there, so it is something in Windows 10 that is FUBAR. Can someone think of anything else? I reset to defaults within the game too. Even after a reboot, the problem persists in windows 10. Thanks for the help, as I am eager to get back to playing and Server 2012 is not my preferred platform.

That sounds awesome.
When you figure it out, please let me know so I can replicate.

Will it blend? That is the question...

Ahem, anyway: Do you have a joystick or gamepad? If so, try removing all its settings from MWO. Joysticks have caused similar problems for me in the past.

1. try a different keyboard.
2. disable windows power management for usb.
Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Devices and Printers
Right click on your USB Keyboard, go to Properties, then the Hardware tab.
Highlight USB Input Device (this is the part that doesn't show up under Device Manager) and click on Properties. Click on Change settings.
Go to the Power Management tab and uncheck 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power'
if your using some kind of strange PS2 adapter to usb or some old junk, just get a plan 10$ usb keyboard and try it.
3.disable sticky keys and any other special options under ease of access in the control panel.
4. test your keyboard in note pad see if the keys repeat in different applications when you press and hold them
5. disable bluetooth if you have it
6. go in to device manager and uninstall any other drivers for keyboards / joysticks / game controllers you see there.

Thanks. I will be trying all of the said above. It should help and I'll report back what I find. No adapters, luckily, though. I am a MS Ergonomic keyboard.

Love it!!!!
I am happy to say I found the resolution thanks to SoggyGorilla's advice. Turns out that having experimented with vJoy for some other things I was trying, it left behind some HID-compatible device entries. Once I removed vjoy entirely and those two entries, things are back to normal. Thanks all! See you on the battlefield.
