LIES! Next you'll be telling us the game is unstable and most people disconnecting are locking up during the launch sequence.

I actually go one step further and claim, that a system called ELO mixes players of different skill levels together in order to balance the average skill of both teams.

Someone who wants to leave questionmarks above new players heads.
Hope we could help you DyDrimer. And always remember, it's not the team that is supposed to follow and help you, it's you who is supposed to follow and help your team.

Next you'll be saying people that stick together and focus fire win. And that lone wolf mechs die alone!

Note the base names, colors, etc. It's red on the map, but blue on the score screen at the top. When I capture it, the map one turns blue but the score turns it red.

Fixing one team, then trying to build another to match. Which kinda works about half the time. The other times, you end up rolling or getting rolled easy.

The reason sometimes you see very organized teams is because if one side gets alot of 3-4 person lances drop together, they will be much more organized then a pure pug. When you form groups you can form them as anything upto 4 or a full group of 12. Not sure if 12s drop against pugs. I do know that 2-4s do. Which is also the reason people get annoyed when the groups get rearranged by someone taking command.

Your team is not starting out short on players.
For some reason, the names of the enemy players (red team) populate on the scoreboard very quickly at the start of a match, while your teammates' names take time to fill in. It's weird, and it may make it look like your team is short on players, but it's not. Press TAB to look at the scoreboard right after the 'Mech startup sequence and you'll see a full 12-man roster on both sides. Very very rarely will a team start short on players, and when it does happen it's because a 2-4 man group that dropped together had a player crash to desktop or disconnect.

To add to what the guy above me (hi, DEMAX) said - the developers did a post on that, and it is a display bug - your teammates names are invisible (really funny when someone on the other side comments in chat about it)
