like the subject says, a simple option to disable the map underlay in the neuro-helmet interface so it becomes transparent with just mechs but no map on it, or even better an option to adjust transparency between 2 settings/keybinds.

why? because trying to shoot something under the minimap can be very frustrating :)

Plus, this is an old option from previous mech titles.

I do think hes meaning aiming arms down at an enemy where the map is and arm lock comes on in 3rd person.... so i sigh at people like Barhaid

This would be fine if your head moved with the cursor, so when you move your arms down, you're also looking down a bit, and move the map out of the way.
