I was wondering if anyone was looking for some art-work work.

I was just looking for peoples design ideas for this mech i made in SSW the other day. I envision it looking cool. Any medium would be great

I appreciate it

hmmm.

got a basic concept of how you envision it? Humanoid, chickenwalker, steamlined, industrial, etc? Even a stick figure would help.

Exploring some possible shapes. The weapon loadout reminded me of the Bushwacker, and it's picked up a little Mad Dog on the way too.

Bishop, you're more than welcome to do some sketchings based on the above if you want. I'm not really sure where to take it from here, and your concepts are usually amazing.

Give me a Day or two, I've got a pretty good idea. I'll post it up here when I get done.

Anything you feel like would be perfect Bishop. (However I have always been partial to Clan mechs being chickenwalkers)
Looks good for a rough draft Sparks.
And thanks Carrion, no rush, just looking to see some ideas.

And thanks everyone, hope you enjoy it. No idea what ill actually end up doing with it, but I do love to look at some pretty mechs!

Quick and Dirty thumbnail sketches once I nail down what I want.

With it being 45 tons i went for almost a sleeker faster shadowhawk feel to it.

I like the high mounted arm cannon, to sort of represent the SHD's torso mounted weapon, off set by the underslung Large pulse laser.

The 2 Er meds are high in the torso almost cockpit height and the only reall question is whether I want to make the LRM5 chest mounted as I have in the upper sketch or instead turn it into sort of a back mounted launcher over the head.

Lean'n towards the back mount just because clans like to roll that way.

I had a few other ideas for a chicken walker's but none of them feel right for a 45 ton 6/9 mech. I like the feel of the lethality of a bi-ped with the split leg and cowboy like feet.

Thats awesome Carrion, interesting take on the Autocannon but i like it.
and yeah, nothing wrong with a more humanoid apperance, the TimberWolf just made such an impression on me as a kid. lol

Thanks for posting, cant wait to see the design keep coming along!

Just needs a 10 Gallon hat

It's a fun exercise and goes to show you how different two designs with the same loadout can be reached by going in completely different directions.

it might have to fight itself to stay upright, but what else should one expect from a Marik design? :D

Every time I see a digitigrade design, my brain screams how much I love it. It is just such a beautiful aesthetic on a mech, IMO. It follows that some of my favorite looking mech designs are digitigrade, even (Hollander, Nova Cat, etc). Makes for a sleek, aggressive, alien yet recognizably humanoid vehicle.
