Cruise Missile Weapon

A single fire missile that does AOE damage, requires lock, and is seeking like a streak srm.
Make it a heavy weapon system comparable to AC weapons in mass. Have it do high damage to the target location (like maybe 10 damage*), then reduced damage (maybe 2 damage*) to remaining locations on target mech and other mechs within, say 50 meters of the target mech.
The cruise missile would have to have a reasonably high hit-point value so as to be resistant to one AMS mech, but maybe not two.
1 ton of ammo would give you perhaps 5 missiles (but really whatever makes sense from a balance perspective).
It would more or less be the missile weapon equivalent to the AC/20.
*I'd leave the balancing to PGI so I'm not really pushing any hard numbers on damage here.
If it were implemented and worked you could even consider making Inferno ammo variants that basically napalm an area and add heat to mechs in the AOE for 60 seconds or so.
It could be fun.

Shoots one big missile that resists AMS and comes in a few different flavors, in mechwarrior 4 mercs they had a cluster bomb version with an AoE splash and the pinpoint version. They should be available as of 3044. THey're big too, taking 15 slots so they bleed over from the arms to the torso of a mech.
... nuts, got ninja posted...

I just started playing TT about 6 months ago. One thing I found interesting that Arrow IV does not work exactly like other missile based weapons (LRMs for example). Instead of targeting individual mechs you target the hex they are standing in (or any hex for that matter). I have always remembered Arrow IV as locking on to other mechs in past MW titles (2:Mercs and 4 to be specific). If it was to be added to this game I think it would be interesting to make it more like a true missile artillery like TT and move away from the lock on fire/forget of past MW games.
That being said, in exploring all the obscure weapons in TT that have not been in any MW games I am having lots of fun using these: http://www.sarna.net...derbolt_Missile

No AoE damage like Arrow but it's very refreshing to deliver solid damage With a missile weapon that does not get divided into groups of 5 in different locations. A frequent clan player opponent I usually play against has started putting 1-2 AMS on all his builds now .

There was a Catapult variant that had an Arrow IV launcher, the CPLT-C3 although I'm unsure when that variant came about in the lore timeline:

Given that we've already got clan tech I figure the time line of the game is already pretty loosey goosey, you know?
