Could you please add data for Assists to the Stats page? I have a terrible KDR, but I try to manage at least 4 assists per match.
KDR does not tell the whole story!
Thanks PGI.

What do you think about - changing assists into "split" kills?
For example 8 Mechs shot at a target - after it is destroyed every got a 1/8 kill.
Would increase the K/D rating for all

Assists don't reflect well eighter...a gauss shot into the head of a Mech that is destroyed by a head shot is worth more as a single LRM 5 strike - with only a single missile connecting and exploding on the left leg of a Awesome.

But the number of assists together with the damage dealt while piloting a Mech could give you an idea how you perform.
But on the other hand - don't you know how you perform?
I can reflect my own behaviour and know what I was able to do - what not.

I actually want to see all kind of stats since i am a number freak :) i never know why - for example - my KDratio or other weapon/mech stat is the way it is - it is WAY too flat of a number. What i mean is that it evens out any development you made in certain phases of the game. The last wipe-out was ... a year ago? So I'd like to see how did my hit ratio with the AC20 develop over time, in the last lets say 20 matches, how does my actual match i just finished compare to the mean of the last 20, 10 whatever....actually like what you see on the stock market, but matchwise. The numbers are there anyway, we just need the user to be able to chose the comparison (200-day line, 90 day line) something like this. This way you can figure out if you are doing better or worse with certain builds: config A on my Orion, 50 matches played, i see the curve, now i switch to config B and see if it goes south or north, things like this. I actually want to improve my player skill and right now i cant do this since everything changes but i have no sight on this data.

Only thing right now is arranged 12 vs 12 and then do a 1:1, this gives u a bit on an estimate how your standings are in your peer group. But unluckily enough, not for those great LRM supporters or scouts, who often help winning your team. So: wen want numbers, PGI  please.

I think they need to increase the threshold of an assist kill to 5% of the mech or somthing. At the moment its fun but meaningless.... in my Locust I ran into their main force and pushed through (no time to turn around) spraying MG everywhere only to die in about 2 seconds (bad luck when a scout doens that)... I still got 8 Assists for the game.

this is bad idea. just list assists in the stats page. kills will never be a good indication of skill in this game, that is what the win/loss ratio is for. this is a team based game, wins matter, not kills.

For you - for me its just about killing - I'm usually at best when i don't have to care about friendly units. :) <_<

If you say that only W/L matters assist doesn't do you any good eighter.... just run a locust and try to shot all 12 enemy mechs and hope that they all hit the ground? Congrats: 12 assists - you are an excellent supporter?

The very nature of Mec combat is the problem - its simple not possible to measure a "players" performance.
Who is better - those that inflict 140 damage but did open at least 3 center torsos that a LRM strike was able to put them down. Or those that deal 280 damage equally spend over a single mech - without removing armor at any place completely?

Its absurdness to benefit C-Bills, Kills or Assists - because it doesn't tell anything about how did you play.
