No fish eye lens pics taken from the feet of the mech you want to look smaller to try and distort the truth?

I really don't know how you live with yourself FupDup, posting pictures with no secondary agenda.

I'm (pleasantly) surprised that the Thunderbolt is smaller than a Cataphract.

The Thunderbolt may actually be useful, when many of us were sure it would be the second coming of the Awesome as a pitiful fat target.

So instead PGI trolled us by making the Shadow Hawk weirdly super tall! Nobody saw that coming! Well played.

Yea, and a Cataphract isn't tall to begin with either.

I think the locust is still too big (or more likely the other light mechs are too small). Keep in mind the Jenner is almost twice as heavy as a Locust. A directly proportional size match up would be:
Locust is to Jenner as Jenner is to Dragon
or Locust to Spider as Spider to Blacjack

I'm also unsure of the Shadowhawk, it is really tall (hell the Centurion is already pretty tall) and very thin, like a trebuchet. I always pictured the Shadowhawk as being a little more bulky, right between the Griffin (thin) and Wolverine (Wide).

II like the Thunderbolt and Battlemaster, it would be interesting to compare the Tbolt, Battlemaster, Catapult and Stalker all side by side.

You forgot to stand the Shadowhawk next to an Awesome Mech :)

Even a Centurion reaches Heavy/Assault Size without the armor to match. So confirmed, that the Shadowhawk is overly huge and they need to reduce size of Mechs.

Thanks, FupDup. Can you get a shot of the SH next to an Orion and a Hunchback?

Thanks for that Fup. The battlemaster looks a tad big when you consider it weighs the same as a Stalker, and the Shadowhawk could be a bit on the large side.

Honestly the hitboxes for all these mechs will determine their usefulness more than the silhouette as the Centurion has already taught us.

The sizes all seem within reason though.

Weight has little to do with size. You have to take into account armor density, empty space, etc. The pic above clearly shows the Jenner as being more stout than the Locust.

The argument that twice as heavy = twice as big in size, for instance, is nonsensical at best.

Am I wrong in thinking that you could mistake the Shadow Hawk for a Highlander? The Trebuchet was in that category a while ago.

Going to look if Highlander(wait no Shadowhawk) is as tall as Awesome, I was going to put SH but Highlander was mentioned so I did type Highlander before realising and I'm keeping it that way.

Lol, the SH is huge. All the other mechs seem to be well sized, though, even the Locust.
