Secondly: May I please have the ability to name them?
I have all these awesome mech but no pet names for them to be christened with.

If you look through developer notes, the ability to rename mechs is coming in UI 2.0

I'm already calling my Locust "Ankle Biter." I just want to make an honest girl out of her.

I just want to name my classic T-bolt "Chunky Butt" after the original DCMS T-bolt I had in 2nd Edition CBT.
Original Shadowhawk will be "Redtail" after Galvan Caballero's ride
No idea what I'd name the Locusts though.

We may not be able to rename the unique 'Mechs like Founder/Sarah/Phoenix/Hero though. They haven't specifically said we can, as far as I recall. You want a re-namable Thunderbolt model, you may need to purchase one with C-Bills when they become available.
