So now the 5V and 5K can go 163 kph?

actually my 5K guess ~170kph. with the increased engine cap, not only do i run faster, I turn and rotate faster! win-win!

To bad the 5D got jipped with the engine increase. I am saddened by this.

It has ecm and the most energy hardpoints, you dont need the extra speed to outrun and avoid lrms/ssrms in the 5D.

The Commandos go 170 too

I would rather keep the old engine caps on the spiders and they do something original.

Like fix them by giving them more hardpoints.

2 more energy (2 CT, 1 LT, 1RT) hardpoints for the 5V - All torso mounted.

1 more energy for the spider-k in the CT.

My guess is that the non-ECM mechs got a boost in speed to try and make people keep and play them, rather than just use them to get your elite and master skills.

I actually just bought two more Commandos. They can go just as fast as the locust, so why not? I've always liked the Commando.
