My game freezes on the Drop preparation phase nearly every time I try to play.
There is no error message and the counter just keeps on counting down into negative numbers. Nothing happens and I have to exit match to get back (yes, Esc opens that panel and it works).

My friend said it showed me as disconnected while we were in group.

I have used the repair tool, with no help.
I have deleted the cache folder, as instructed in one thread. No help.
I have checked that I have the latest .NET, C++ and DirectX along with latest video and audio drivers. No help.
I have closed all other programs and cleaned my computer trying to find a conflicting program. No help.
I have tried the Cyberghost VPN and it only increased the problems with "Connection lost" messages and increasing my ping from 145 to 225.
I have uninstalled the game and deleted all the files as advised in pinned topic. No help.

I'm using a MSI afterburner now, but haven't done any overclocking on it.
I have deactivated the Catalyst Control Center. These were guides to increase my FPS on another game.
MSI afterburner shows my GPU temp as 70-78 Celsius during gameplay, so not overheating.

My system specs are
Windows 7 Professional - 64 bit
Intel core i7 870 2.93GHz
RAM 16 Gb
Radeon 6970 Lightning with 2Gb memory

DxDiag
Spoiler

I really would like to like this game, but I have been having crashing problems with this game for over a year and these just make it impossible for me to enjoy the game (which wasn't a free game as I have paid for it by becoming a founder).
The crashes I have had previously seem to be gone, or I have not been able to play so much that they would have shown themselves yet.

Really would appreciate help here.

Spoke too soon about previous crashing.
The game just froze for me in combat, like it did year ago. Everyone just stops and stands still, while I run around and can affect nothing.

It seems more like problem with your internet connection.Try some speedtest and/or ping on MWO servers with trace route w/o time limit.

MSI Afterburner, or any other similar program, can be used to OC things but more importantly, it is there to give you more control over specific components, particular the fans. You say 70-80*C is ok, and it may very well be ok but that heat is also affecting other components in the system. On the fan profile, set a more aggressive fan usage pattern. By default most systems have a very...conservative.. fan pattern. The fans do not start increasing their fan speeds til things start getting hot.

Back to your issue, which for the most part appears to be a connectivity issue.
  • How are you connecting?
  • What type of internet service? Through friends/family/etc, tried a different ISP?
  • Wired or Wireless?
  • Double checked and tightened all connections?
  • Same result, regardless of time of day or day of the week?
  • Both Ping and Tracert run and how do they look?
  • Reboot system, modem/router/gateway? Disabled SPI (stateful packet inspection)/firewall (this is not the NAT, fyi) in the router/gateway?
Set Power Options in Control Panel to Best Performance.

Update/reinstall network card drivers. Are you using a built in or add-on card?

My speedtest is 77,71 Mbs (www.speedtest.net).

My connection is through TeliaSonera in Finland 100/10 Mb and using wired VDSL2 (fiber optic).
Can't change my ISP yet, as the contract is for two years and still have six months left. Going to change it as soon as I can, hate this ISP.
Have checked all wires and connections (I know that is the most forgotten thing to check).
Getting same results no matter if I try at morning, evening or at weekend.

Below my ping and tracert to mwo server (found the ip address from different post)

Have rebooted modem several times (usually have to do it once a month as it freezes on tv sometimes).
I have no idea how to disable my Thomson TG789vn gateways SPI service. I tried to find it, but can't find anything close to that name.

Will try the power options and post results. Yeah, no change. Can't even get to one game nowdays.

Card is built in to motherboard. Have loaded the latest drivers from motherboard manufacturer, that I have found.

Thank you for the answer.
