Buddha Pit 1.0

Simple yet effective... Just need to add a USB powered hub to the chair, so I need only one wire to the Computer...

It may not be faster than a mouse but very close and a lot more Fun...

Awesome! ...always love to see a new pit come online. I have some pretty nifty scripts for the Warty that have many features that take advantage of TARGET's flexibility. It was written by Crescent Fresh, and has neat things like on-the fly sensitivity tied to a slider on the throttle, can switch between relative/absolute, and a bunch of other useful features, although it hasn't been updated in a while since my own controls started life as a Cougar (although others around here may have updated Crescent's script by now) to reflect the current meta, but it's light years ahead of starting from scratch, so if you are interested I will send them to you.

Really like the seat relation to the stick height, and looks like it supports your arm very well for extended periods of precision inputs, and also looks kinda original series Star Trek-y to boot! :P Looks like you could built headrest component that could come up from the back and could look pretty legit too. Did you cut the right armrest to accommodate? Is the left gonna get cut to match?

As to not 'faster but more fun' I'm a HOTAS man myself, but there is a way to kinda have your cake and eat it too here... but I'll leave your cockpit thread to cockpits, since controls are a touchy and misunderstood subject I have much to say on but has a tendency to clutter threads so is best quarantined to controls threads. I'll assume mine is old news to you and not plant that flag in your thread, but if you want a link, I can provide...

Sure, I would love to see how others have their warthog set up....

I took me a while to get the axis for the joystick the way i wanted but I like it now,, It's a work in progress...
I got the arm lock on a toggle, so I can turn it off or on... I have been switching it off mostly for close combat..
Gets you that extra reach.... just got the WH yesterday and attached it to the chair today...

So i am still getting the feel and figuring it all out... It kinda reminds me of driving a skid steer or backhoe now....

I wanted to get the joystick a tad lower but when i removed the base plate I found that it was not a solid cap on the bottom and their was a silicon board visible,, So I put in original base plate back on.. I Need to have some metal cut for a cap and match the screw thread.... It is as low as it can go with out getting in the way of my leg...

The Throttle is placed so that my elbow hits the chair at a comfortable angle when the throttle is idle..

I cut the joystick side inserted some framing and folded the Pleather back over it. Than added some chipboard to screw the joystick base plate down.

I might cut the Throttle side if I need too.. I will update the pics if I do..

I will say This is the Mc Daddy of all controllers and the Target Software is so complex it's great and intimidating all at the same time.

Currently trying to put the LEDs on a slider so i can turn them off and adjust the intensity all with one switch... Which I think is possible.. IDK I will figure it out....

I could dropbox err something my controller profile if any one wants... or share if you got a good one...

Love the pit beginning(s).

That said - you really need to integrate the piano and bongos into your build a little more.
