Poll: Mech Scaling: How do you feel? (23 member(s) have cast votes)

With the Shadow Hawk here, and two more 55 tonners on their way, how do you feel about PGI's 'Mech scaling thus far?

  1. A number of Mechs need a scaling pass to make their tonnage more visibly intuitive while playing. (5 votes [21.74%] - View)

    Percentage of vote: 21.74%

  2. A number of Mechs need a scaling pass, strictly with balance in mind. Hitboxes and such. (16 votes [69.57%] - View)

    Percentage of vote: 69.57%

  3. I respect PGI's artistic vision, and feel Mech scaling is just about right. (2 votes [8.70%] - View)

    Percentage of vote: 8.70%

  4. Not a gameplay or balance issue? Unnecessary poll. There are bigger fish to fry than aesthetics. (0 votes [0.00%])

    Percentage of vote: 0.00%

  5. Vaguely relevant and hardly humorous fifth choice. For democracy. (0 votes [0.00%])

    Percentage of vote: 0.00%

As with all things opinion related, please render a modicum of respect and courtesy to your fellow human being.

The 'Mechs definitely need a scaling pass, purely based on balance and hitbox sizes.

Like, for instance, the Locust. It needs to be wayyyyy smaller unless they decide to cut the engine limits on the other Lights back down. Speed and agility are its only defenses, and its size is a detriment to being hard to hit.

Or, the Awesome which needs to be a bit smaller with a lot better hitbox setup... Thing is horrible right now.

A lot more 'Mechs than the Awesome need hitbox changes. Not to mention the blatant scaling issues across all the weight classes.

A good deal of the mediums are far too large.

My ShaqLander will soon be shelved with my lone Trebuchet, Blackjacks, and other mothballed Mechs until the day hitboxes and scale are overhauled.

I think anumber need a scaling pass, but we won't get it, there was a detailed reason given how hard it is to change size once built, in an ask the devs Q&A

when I say won't get it, I mean now, maybe when UI2 and CW are fully up and running and clans are in then maybe, but if you are hoping for some scaling changes in the next two years, I won't get your hopes up
