I took the stock 3m and changed it to have 4 small lasers and 2 LAMS. I'll change it over to double heat sinks with more cash and then change the engine to xl for more speed.

Skills:
AMS overload x2
All the scouting skills
Every cool run skill
Speed Tweak
As many heat reduction firepower skills as possible

This would have been annoying to stat out on smurfy.

I've just been having fun with it, but the heat from blocking so many missiles gets to be problematic.

Yeah man the LAMS is brutal... Did the dual on the grasshopper, it seems okay if you run 1 lams and 1ams.. though it still severly slows down cd on a heavy and slight heat gains on a medium IS mech. But if you're stopping damage and still mobile it's useful.
With the ammo and lams you can toggle them off on individually as well if you get hot and just run the ballistics. Just been messing around abit. Probably dual ballistics is more practical but on the locust tonnage is an issue so maybe worth a shot.

My old standby was 3 ML and dual AMS, but with new tech you can do 5 erSL with light ferro or 3/4 erML depending on how much ammo you need (I mean, you spend the tonnage for dual AMS, best to go all in).
