welcome to MWO. It's a fun game and very rewarding even if people hate, but that's what haters do.

One thing. Please:


NEVER PRESS ALT-F4 EVEN IF YOUR FELLOW TEAMMATES TELL YOU TO!

If you really want to, try it out in training mode.

F4 on the other hand is a handy tool to take you out of 3rd person view (trust me it sucks) until you figure out you can go into options and choose to always start in 1st person view.

They'll figure it out one way or another and if they don't? Well you can't save people from themselves.

Sure you can, by warning them in advance.

Ignorance is not the problem. Stupidity is the problem. Simply not knowing what Alt-F4 does is not stupidity, it's ignorance. That's curable. Refusing to listen and or learn, that's stupidity and by a pure coincidence, when I tend to wash my hands of a person and stand back to watch the fun.

I always change the control to F3. My push-to-talk button is alt. You can imagine why I made the change.

Yes, I can say with all honesty that alt + F4 does help with cooling my machine when its running hot.
