Roar of Honor, but is set later in the timeline.
I know only this, you may ask Jaroth Winson.

Roar of Honor & Test of Vengeance are what comes to mind immediately. I will have to check through the list but I am in work now.

EDIT:Ghost Bear’s Lament: Part One & Two.

I know Trial by Chaos is about the Ghost Bears but I am not sure who the antagonist is because I have not read it as yet.

Thank you, much appreciated.
The FRR look forward to our future battles against the mighty Clan Ghost Bear.

"The Bear Cycle (German: Bear-Zyklus) is a series of of BattleTech novels by Arous Brocken that tell the story of trueborn Clan Nova Cat Warrior George. Following one another seamlessly, they narrate how cadet George becomes a Nova Cat Warrior, is taken as bondsman by Clan Ghost Bear in 3053, rises through their ranks, is captured by mercenaries and ends up a mercenary himself on the other side of the Tukayyid truce line."

The four Bear Cycle novels are technically apocryphal, and currently have no known official English translation.

This warrior has to be not very good if he is captured twice :)
But hey, the second part would be something i'd like to read about

Well, at least George passed his initial Trial of Position into the Warrior Caste, unlike a certain someone. :P :)

Speaking of which, the Sarna description of said trial (from the first of the Bear Cycle novels) sounds very, very familiar...

Quote

George is surprised to encounter a poorly piloted Glass Spider with odd markings as his first opponent and, upon inspecting his foe after defeating him, realizes that bandits bearing the crest of long-dead Clan Mongoose are attacking the academy grounds. He breaks radio silence to report his encounter and overhears Bravo Cadet being overrun by unknown hostiles at Nav Gamma while an unbelieving instructor (callsign Alpha Assault) chastises Bravo Cadet for his supposed overreaction. George (who is Gamma Cadet) rushes to Bravo's aid but is defeated by the unknown attackers. Alpha Assault's Timber Wolf is destroyed by an enemy Summoner, and George passes out in the 'Mech's subsequent explosion.

Test of Vengeance, albeit ridiculous like most of the novels is a good one.

Our common friend risked much starting a grand melee.. And he has been repaid for his audacity.

May Kerensky be blessed, we finally found who are the warriors in the MW2 opening! B) You are great bro, you solved one of the misteries of Battletech! :P

EDIT: does this also seems familiar?

here, on 15 July 3053, Star Commander Vijo's Mad Dog is ambushed by a [/color]Kodiak[] and Vijo's star including George is sent to assist him

Notes
  • The Trial of Position borrows heavily from the introduction cinematics of the MechWarrior 2 computer game. The terrain and tactical situation are almost identical, and the radio dialogue between "Bravo Cadet" and "Alpha Assault" (one of the trainers coming to his rescue) is reproduced almost verbatim.
  • Similarly, the attack on Star Commander Vijo in the ice wastes on Shadow is a carbon copy of the introduction cinematics from the Ghost Bear's Legacy add-on for the MechWarrior 2 game (with Vijo as "Cat-12" instead of "Jag-12", while George is identified as "Cat-11").

  • So actually this sequences are inspired by the cinematics, not viceversa. We will never know who are the unknown warriors in those videos..

Well, there is apparently a German Clan Ghost Bear group - perhaps they might be interested in such a task?

I was always joking with Duff (RIP) to do it, as he was faily fluent in ESL. Would be a good way to chat with our GCGB brothers.
