Simple thought. There are Cent's with JJ capabilities. why not reintroduce YLW with JJ (in place of adding Hard-Points) to keep its unique play style as a mobile, hard hitting area mech??
thoughts?

The Yen lo wang was originally able to use melee with its other arm with either its claw or a hatchet.
PGI also stated they wanted to introduce melee eventually so. So Soontm it will get better.

It's based on a mech from lore and so has the hard points to match, kai allard liao`s mech didn't have jump jets.
If you want a medium with jj that can mount an AC20 I heartily recommend getting a shadowhawk they are really versatile.

I believe that exactly is his point. The Hawk is a straight upgrade over the Wang.

Can't run an ac20 on the arm of a SHD.
..and if you do run an ac20 on an SHD then you have to run a std engine which means no 107kph like you can with the Wang.
Wang don't need no stinkin JJ's.
Wang, a Shadow Hawk is not.

They could also include the later variant of the mech, which had a guass rifle, hatchet, 3 medium pulse lasers, a XL engine and triple strength myomer. Obviously they'd need to add 3x myomer first.

while adding a cent with jumpjets would be cool this is not the yen lo wang.
IMHO
We need the CN9-YLW-2
Gauss(no longer able to equip ac-20), 4 laser hardpoint, 2 Ct, 2 LA
and the CN9-AH
AC 20, 3 Missiles in the LT
When melee comes out the YLW should get a melee hard point added. It's a fine mech now but without other mechs offering similar features it can't truly shine as the specialist mech it was designed to be.

If it can't carry a 20, I don't want it. I miss my AH, and I know the YLW2 had a Gauss, but it's not like they added another actuator to the mech. If was a field refit, essentially. If there are two mechs sthat should always have the option of a 20 in the arm, it's the CN9 and the VTR. They need to make the lower arm actuator dynamic on certain mechs.

I could support that as the CN9- A would make the AH obsolete. I'm just looking for variety for variety sake, variants that can do different things are important to look at. You have the art in place, just add more variants.
