I think it'd be kind of cool if you could offer an MC only in-cockpit MP3 player or boombox that would play music. You could have it either play MP3's directly from a specific directory in the MWO game folder, or you can just put a handful of your already designed music tracks on it for people to listen to while they play.

I remember Steel Battalion had a boom box you could put into your mech that essentially did the same thing. It was pointless, but did make the game a bit more fun.

Why not just fire up WinAmp, Pandora, or Windows Media Player and do the same thing?

Why not hang Christmas lights around your monitor instead of buying the MC ones? Why not buy a real mini and put it on your desk instead of buy the virtual one for your mech?

Why? Because some people get a kick out of having these things in their mech, even if it doesn't make sense.
