My Assault Awesome that does close to 90kph is one of my favorite mechs. Also thoroughly enjoying my new Battlemasters as well.

Seriously though, it's all about teamwork and sticking together (but not so close together that I can't BACK MY ASSault UP!)

I pilot a DDC far more than anything else. My solutions are similar to Almond. Take control of the match. Learn how to command your team-and the location of primary engagement. You will always see one of the first things I say is: report visual ASAP plz. This tells me where I need to position to set up a nasty DDC ambush- and let me tell you nothing is as fun as melting another assault mech before they know what hit them. Many times you will 'take one for the team' in the assault class.. But an assault mech properly piloted and yes, supported, will win time and again. As far as speed goes, with speed tweek I think the atlas will get up and scoot around 70 kph with a decent xl engine? I tried that and found I'm happy with going about 55 myself and rolling up on the fight with some foreknowledge of where the enemy is. I average 2-3 kill, 6-8 assists. 500-800 damage. Max game 1000 damage and 7 kills. Typical loadout is 2LL, AC 20, AC 2. These numbers have more impact on the outcome of matches than what I can attain with other chassis. I will say that I am beginning to branch into driving a dragon with an xl350 onboard, just for kicks.
