Yea... I haven't noticed any difference either, though it may be because I'm already used to keeping my reticule on a moving target from extensive lrm use... Also, switching up your turn direction will typically bring a circling light into view fast enough to regain a good lock and time to fire. Target decay does indeed also help. I think it's funny watching light mechs running with a tag just for their streaks...

^ tag lets you lock ECM targets before getting into firing range, its much easier to maintain a lock at short range than get a new lock.

I wouldn't go that far with that assessment.

You hang around these forums long enough and everyone starts sounding like that you know.

SO, what you're saying is that Streaks are hard for you to use now? Meaning, a weapon that requires no skill to use whatsoever is slightly less skill-less is bad? Hrm, give me a second to think on that.

cause lasers take mad skillz bro.

I try not to just flat out say folks are bad, but there comes a point where someone says something which is so absurd, that no other response fits.

Saying streaks are too hard to use falls into that category.

I run a few 12 man pugs with my Streak Kintaro and I did not notice any more effort to target than before. I did notice that the 170kph Spiders are still almost invincible. Most I have been able to do is leg the broken POS's and yes I use TAG/Artemis and have target decay etc.

Sure wish the Streaks had some upward flight since most of them hit the ground.

The changes to missile lock mechanics in the last patch is a pretty big nerf to streaks. It is extremely difficult to lock a light that's brawling you now (also true with fast mediums). If you haven't used streaks in a while, try it out again. They are a pain in the butt to use now.

The change did very little to LRMS since it's pretty easy to keep the crosshairs bracketed on a target 400+ meters away. But trying to keep it on a light or a fast medium that's trying to circle you inside of 200 meter make for a really frustrating experience.

Please revert back to the old locking system for streaks or cut their lock time in half, another possible solution is to increase the time before you lose lock or abort locking. This is a close in brawling weapon. It should not be ineffective for half the fight because my crosshairs stray outside of the target brackets for a second because I’m trying to spread damage or because of erratic movements in close combat fighting.

its typical bs , buff the light , screw everyone else

360 won't really help because you break lock as soon as your crosshairs leaves brakets (maybe a .1s delay). Target decay might be interesting, will have to test that out. Thanks!

I haven't used 360, but from the description, it sounds like you would not lose missile lock unless they hide behind something or go out of the 200m range or whatever it is.
