The problem with the Locust is that it's currently operating without its Recon support from the Tetatae:

I plan on waiting for a 2XP weekend to get mine mastered. I can't see using GXP to skill them out since I hope we get more meaningful things to spend GXP on in the long run.

The ETA on that is 3-4 months.

I did say that the JR7 is a better chassis than the COM. But neither of these chassis have any dud variants, as opposed to the SDR (5V/5K), Raven (2X/4X), and LCT (1V).

I strongly disagree that the COM is mediocre. It's a solid chassis, neither the best nor the worst, but closer to the top than the bottom.

It's mediocre, but compared to the other options, it's balanced.

One of the things I've noticed is that I hadn't paid attention to its movement type as it feels to a degree that I was playing the mech prior to the movement type change in this game. The lack of JJs doesn't actually hinder it too much, and it can kinda compete against the Spider to a degree. Still, the Commando is still squishy IMO, but the engine cap increase does a lot for evading the stronger lights.
