Already, even though we just have random matches being fought between any and all players who are online at any given time, there's still a whole lot of waiting for elite players, on account of matchmaking. Or at least, so I'm led to believe.
Now, can anyone tell me how this can change to anything but for worse when CW kicks in? People will be not only be divided based on ELO, but also based on factions and locations. How will they avoid longer waiting, without letting elite players just smash the casuals?

I'm no elite player, and the queue for a match can take anywhere between 5 seconds and 120 seconds for me.

I think lobbies or private matches will be in sometime around then, call me optimistic. That might give the elite players/teams something to do I hope.

Maybe CW will be so awesome that it will bring in far more players and MWO will have 20x the playerbase to draw upon. *fingers crossed*

Yeah, i'm pretty curious how the matchmaker will react during CW, also with the upcoming tonnage limitations, the matchmaker will have a heck of a job to find a good match for all those players.
I'm also curious how the faction players are represented, concerning numbers, A CW Faction battle between Marik and Steiner with only one faction player on each side, and the rest lone wolfs/mercs, will not be really immersive...

Given the size of both the House Steiner and House Marik communities, right now with no real CW, I don't see that being a problem.

Yea I don't think it will be an issue. Lobbies will actually solve 90% of this. Making it intuitive to find a few housemates to play with would go a loooooooooong way to correcting some of this
