Hello guys,

becuase we are all bored about the same random premade or pugs match :) we are testing some new (self-made) Drop mode.

Drop mode: SABOTAGE (Assault)

The Drop can be played under Assault mode, and instead of "kills" will consist in primary and secondary objectives..
As you can see the drop is asymmetric, and the objectives are different, this help in generating new dynamics of game and a game more focused on the "final goal" instead of "let's do 1 more kill"

It's very easy and everything can be determinated by the final screenshot.

If you want to test it and to share feedback with us, let's try these rules:

Sabotage: (Assault)

Attacker needs to win by base cap or enemy destruction

Defender need to kill all enemy mechs (no cap allowed)

Attacker goals: (580 Tonns)

+4 bonus if cap win or enemy destruction

+2 bonus if at least 6 enemy mech destroyed

+1 bonus if at least 3 enemy mech destroyed

Defender goals: (700 Tonns)

+4 bonus if enemy destruction or timeout with at least 7 mech survived

+3 bonus if enemy destruction or timeout with 4 to 6 mech survived

+1 bonus if enemy destruction or timeout with less then 4 mech survived

What your example is is an Attack/Defense game, which is already coming. Not sure about the unbalanced drop, though that wouldn't surprise me either.

My big problem with single point attack/defend maps are that the tonnage values for the teams are going to be insane. No need to scout for the target, so bring the biggest guns you have or you're doing it wrong.

I know the current game types are getting old, but they at least force your team to have some mobility, other wise cappers will bypass and take your base.

Ranek,

this is impossible to happens.
We tried a 490 (attacker) vs 805 (defender) , we won 2 times and lost 1.

Attacker is REALLY powerfull and we never won for "capping the base", but we put the enemy undersiege. We think it's very challenging. I think you should try and of course because it is asymmetric dont expect to start the game and rush vs the enemy. It must be played very strategically becuase the attacker has the MOBILTY to surround you, and you must defend a base for a suddenly swarm.
