AA as I will call them has a working bot and so far it is undetectable. If you don't think these guys are legit then you need to look into what they have done to bigger and better games than this.
Just a heads up, they are coming.

I guess that is one more step towards making MWO like other shooters, having an out to cry "hax!" Before just crying in general.
Seriously, most people can aim reasonably well, and some excellently so. There is no pressing need for aiming assistance.

they are able to pick the person out and watch their behavior at anytime in any game, and i think they are able to go back and watch old ones. However... just because I get cored out fast/efficiently doesn't mean i'm jumping on the blow horn to report them. If i spectate players and see that they have some funky action with their aiming and targeting that isn't normally what i would see, or ridiculously good tracking (outside of human capabilities, not because they're better than me) then yeah I report them and describe in great detail what I saw.
I don't think Aimbots are a myth that people should laugh at. They're real and out there, but I just approach the subject with caution. And only with caution because I don't want to be pulling that card at every suspicious death, but I wont hesitate if I witness it first hand.

...I can see why an aim bot hasn't been detected. Too much **** to make one work properly!

Please don't embarrass yourselves and go do a quick search online and see for yourself.
I wont post a link but even you should be able to find it on your own.

Can't wait to see a video of an actual aimbot being useful. Still wouldn't mind seeing an aimbot work properly on any server side auth game actually.

One thing is raise a suspicious question everyone should be able to, a different one it's cry HAx everytime someone outperform me.
TBh only once i felt an enemy player was cheating in a single match an Dual Ac/20 Jager took like 4-5 guys by straight cockpit shoots all of them, that felt weird. Despite that only chance i hardly notice any unusual behaviour that may be called hax.

Old news, and not a big deal. This popped up even in closed beta and wasn't significant.

PGI I am sure you can figure out who I am referring to and look into what you can do about it.
Like I said just a heads up.

to tell you the truth, as a dual AC20 jäger, that's not that hard. You just have to rely on your armor to hold while you calmly place aim your crosshairs at the exact spot of their cockpit. Hitting once is enough to kill an enemy.
Most players get confused or irritated when there is an enemy to shoot, but if you just stay calm and know that your enemy can't kill you in the time you are placing your shot, you are fine.

Yeah, that's the one we're all referring to. It's garbage.
And it's my hunch based on small changes that occurred over patches that PGI has already made some small changes to the game over the months to foil other possible aimbot mechanics.
We're not saying they don't exist. We're saying they suck and aren't a significant issue.
The game being server authoritative only leaves a few indirect avenues for how an aimbot could work. Most of which are either easily patched up or result in less than ideal results.
