You can barely see anything, it's almost pointless to play in first person. Like 50% of the screen is taken up by random cockpit stuff.

I like it. Feels immersive. That said, I did have to go change my field of view to make it feel less like I'm shoving my face up against the glass. Does help to make it feel a bit roomier. Same goes for all the mechs in the game.

Yeah, the extra bars across the glass are not very appealing.

Just be glad we only got a luggage RACK and not the actual Samsonite Family Suite it`s built to carry, ok? :P :)

Feels like I'm riding a technological version of a freakin' Tron light-bike. I'll always picture my pilot laying forward in that style in the cockpit, rather than sitting normally. Makes more sense to me.

I like the Locust, and everything about it, but I'm a *********. And apparently M a s o c h i s t is a bad word.

Just means you like a challenge and don't take the easy way out.

This is such a huge disadvantage when fighting other light mechs. I have no peripheral vision, so I have no idea where the spider or whatever it is that's chasing me is, or where the buildings are so I don't turn into them, or the terrain features so I don't get stuck on them.

Please please please clean up the Locust cockpit so there's less visual obstruction and more visibility. It's even worse on the Phoenix Locust.

While you're at it, maybe make the leg hitboxes a little harder to hit?

I keep pressing the Z button to zoom out while I'm piloting the Locust. Only to realize that I was already at 1.0x Zoom. I can't see **** in that mech. I feel like a rabid pitbull with horse binders on.

Honestly, I keep thinking I'm in a snow speeder from Star Wars, just with legs. It almost looks like one too. Now where's my harpoon for toppling Atlai?

So I think it's really that line of window at the top of the cockpit that does it. If I angle my view down slightly, I don't feel so bad. It's just that big giant bar.

I find the luggage rack on the Phoenix variant problematic in alternate vision modes. The other variants are restricted, but tolerable, but the glow effect in night and especially heat vision blocks out enough visual information to make the mech hard for me to pilot.

On well lit maps I don't experience the problem--it's still got poor visibility but if I'm keeping my head on a swivel I can piece together enough information to see what is going on.
