Greetings Capellans, and faithful patriots of the C.C.A.F.

Since the demise of MPBT3025 at the hands of EA, we have all long awaited the return of a Battletech MMO.

The day has come.

What a glorious day.

Capellans, we will stand strong. We will be outnumbered, there is no doubt. But we shall prevail.

We have already began talks with the Archon of the Lyran Alliance. Our futures depend on each other.

It is written.

Rattle your Katana's and let their music be death to our enemies.

Rise Capellans.

The dawn of war, is near!

>salute<

Eh, we're short on resources. If it can sever heads like the way Victor Liao severs heads, then use it!

A machete then? Quick to stamp and sharpen, strength just depends on the quality of the metal and the precision of the stamping.

Works for me. Sharp blades let the blood flow nice and easy. There is something to be said for dull blades causing more pain and chance for infection, though.

Machete edges are less razor like and more ax like anyways, they are mainly used for hacking through thick vegetation. I think that fits the term "dull blade" when compared to a katana.

Blunt trauma from the weight of a blade sounds nice too, yeah--breaking limbs usually works nicely to stop threats, and there are funky things you can do to organisms that have brains encased in skulls that can be rattled.

Side slip, what are you hoping they put in mech wise for Liao. Urban Mech might make an appearance if they stick to BT cannon.

Well, I mentioned before the Raven, Vindicator, and Cataphract, but those are so much associated with the Confederation that a lot of fans think we don't pilot anything else.

Stinger
Locust
Wasp
UrbanMech
Firestarter

Clint
Blackjack
Phoenix Hawk
Griffin
Shadow Hawk
Wolverine

Ostroc and Ostsol
surprisingly, the Rifleman and JagerMech
Archer
Catapult
Crusader
Thunderbolt
Grasshopper and Guillotine
Warhammer

Awesome
Charger
Striker
Victor
Longbow
Stalker
a few Highlanders
and the old original Banshee.

Banshee? Yeeeeeeuch! I'll take one of these instead thank you: solaris7.com/TRO/HTMLBattleMech/BattlemechInfo.asp?ID=12959 the Capellan CGR-1A5. Baring that a Firestarter or Urban Mech could be fun, or tick of those blasted FedCommers and run a Jager.

Honorable? What's that? Is that that new handheld weapon made for assassination that's been making the rounds in the rumor mill? :)

Hey, the Banshee is a damage soak, so at least it's useful for suicide runs!

Not much else, 'IF' we are allowed to customize our mechs and I get one of those I am dropping the engine down a couple of notches and tossing on some real guns.

Honestly, the BNC-3E is much more of an Inner Sphere general-use 'Mech. CCAF doctrine relies more on missiles, artillery, and ambushing units, unconventional stuff that works great for defensive warfare.

Standing and delivering is for Lyrans.

You can do that and at least match a Warhammer in capability, the Banshee tries to be too fast for it's own good and its firepower suffers as a result. As the BNC-3E variant of the Banshee sits (canon wise anyways) it is armed like a Medium mech, moves like a Heavy and is armored like the Assault mech it should be. Being able to reduce the engine size will go a long way towards bringing one of those to an effective capability, other than acting as a shot soaker since it's strongest asset in the tabletop version is it's ability to close into melee while laying down fire (although comparatively meager for it's mass) and knocking the tar out of it's opponent with it's fists when it gets there. It does not look like melee is making it into this game at first if ever so that role holds no place for now. Slowing it down, tossing on a missile launcher or two or upping the AC5 to a AC10 would work much better in my honest opinion.

I missed this one in the scan read I did. Definitely has it's uses in the urban environment we are going to be playing in in this game, atleast If they are able to stick with the plan they have right now.
