I have my doubts considering what they're testing is apparently incomplete. They might get it out before December but I would guess after the 5th.

Speaking of Public testing, how do we get on to it? I already installed the secondary public test server patcher, do I just go on to the specific times?

UI 2.0, Hero Flea, Clan Founder's pack announced, LRM speed greatly increased and damage slightly buffed, SRM ghost heat removed entirely. SSRM damage upped slightly. Gauss rifles no longer have a chance to explode unless they are critted while in the process of charging up. PPC heat drastically lowered but ghost heat is altered (raised, and the # of simultaneous ones required to trigger it is lowered).

... oh, and a doubling of the RoF of LBX autocannons.

I would SQUEEEE like a schoolgirl if that happened...which is actually kinda creepy, since I'm a 210-lbs biker that's inked from head to toe with more facial hair than your average dog.

LOL. Did you read the functionality and known bug list for UI2? No way this will be released 2 weeks after the first PT. We are looking at 2-3 PT and release in Dec.

It is called "Alpha" preview for a reason. The main question is why we did not get an alpha preview back in spring when they were showing us all those UI2 "updates" It means those updates were photoshops of what they wanted and not WIP.

They stated when they showed those early pictures that they were just mockups and not the aactual UI 2.0.

I'd rather have 1.2/1.4 damage per pellet, like every other Mech Warrior game, which just worked.

because they want to show the ui.2 to the euros first .....or they'd like the test to be during the time they're working....the euro-conspiracy is more likely though :)

Because the unemplyed and the children/college kids is what keeps the boat afloat. If it wasn't for mommy and daddys money paying for all the price gouged items then there would be no MWO. It's because of all those kids and mommy and daddys money that us honest working people don't buy all the extras because the prices are insane. $30ish for a mech that belongs in a game that would retail at $59.99 when first released is INSANE to say the least and put it nicely. Don't get me started on all the things that are only obtainable via overpriced MC and the fact the economy is a flat out snail earning joke.

One of the few that is hanging on hoping the game gets a revamp down the road when the newness wears off and all the deep poketed kiddy owning parents put their feet down and stop paying for everything the said kiddys want.

Hey one can wish anyway.

Russ confirmed Patch today on his Twitter Feed. Check the Dev tracker thread. No mention of what's going to be in it though.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's kind of balance fix for some weapon of some kind. Maybe also a finishing balance patch for lights (a few more maneuverability adjustments) or some hitbox adjustments (they were making a light balancing pass that wasn't complete according to the most recient update). We'll find out soon.
