Greetings, I have and use a Logitech M570 wireless Trackball mouse, and love it. lately my aim in game and my pointer outside of the game will occasionally temporarily stop responding, and it will sometimes return to normal with a slight shake or some very light percussive maintenance.

is this something interfering with the wireless mouse signal? (only the one wireless peripheral) or is it the wireless radio in the mouse itself malfunctioning?

Dunno. There arent but a few moving parts in them(wheel and ball). Ive hung out at my buddies house where there were several wireless mice/keyboards and not had an issue. That being said about 6 months ago after having mine for less than a year had an issue with it either not registering a LMB click or registering several. I contacted logitech and talked to them and since it wasnt past the factory warranty date (3 year manufacturers warranty) they sent me a new one within a week. quick look at the support for the 570 says there are issues if using a usb3 device and possibly with windows 8. If you asked my buddy hed say to get a real mouse however i like my trackball.

It may be the driver.

If you uninstall setpoint, the mouse should still work (Though you may lose the ability to bind "extra" buttons).

It may be worth a try to see if it is the issue - I know others have reported dodgy performance with SetPoint.

If it is that, let me know, there are possible alternatives to SetPoint.

well the problem seems to have been solved with a usb extension cord used to place the unifying reciever right next to the trackball. however I am curious about the above mentioned set point alternatives, as I used to use the mouse scroll wheel to control throttle in mw4.

If all you want is throttle control on the mouse wheel, I have an AutoHotKey script for that here.
