this is great work. it's amazing how people don't realise how much of the game is decided by map knowledge. there are very decidedly bad places to be on the map, yet people still stroll into them, e.g. Mining Collective Assault lance going tunnel and immediately get annihilated by the entire enemy team
read this people, read everything
read this people, read everything

Great job!
I know it is "boring" but everyone should get in a fast mech and walk the maps.
And you should NOT do a Seige unless you have walked the map.

was a helpful post, most likely. Images don't load so it's fairly useless.
That's the problem in general here. The forum stuff is hopelessly out of date for anyone relatively new
Are the images archived anywhere?.

Hope we'll see a real dropship on one of the newer maps, one that's not broken. Given how often you fight on a space port in lore, this should be a no brainer to build a map around one
I would LOVE if they do a new map in 2021 around a couple Union class dropships. Love it.

Great reading, one of my guys just found this today.
Time to implement some of those nice tactical ideas!
Wow I'd never realised that the structure in crimson straight was massive vehicle lifts. I suppose it fits with a train loading yard. Imagine if they periodically went up and down that would rock!! Lifting a pair of assaults to the top, while another comes down and crushes a Hunchback.
And yeah I'd agree that adding some details about turrets in assault mode is a good idea.

Something with loading equipment for cargo ships would be lovely on a new map. I mean there would be bugs... but it would be really cool.
Like the old Star League fortress with mech elevators that they needed to defend, using fewer pilots but a cache of Star League mechs, in that old BattleTech book. Was that the Helm core, or am I thinking of somewhere else?
