Today (Thursday) i was forced to Patch 3.4GB aka new Install. i was on 1.2.251 already. After Patcher was ready i got a "Version Mismatch" when logging in.

Did a complete fresh reinstall. Same problem :-/

Do i have some corrupt uncleaned registry entrys or does the Patcher provide the wrong version atm?

I did my third fresh reinstall this night. Used the RepairTool, cleaned my Registry from all Keys with MechWarrior. Nothing helped. Here Some Specs:

-Win7 Home 64bit with latest updates
-i5
-8gb Ram
-Nvidia GFX 560 TI latest (driver no Beta driver)
-Installed to recommended path.
-I was able to Play after installing 1.2.251
-Patcher says Version: 1.6.0.0

Any Hints ?

If TheShock's solution doesn't work for anyone, please submit a support ticket (Support button at top of screen for those who are new) with a description and a DXDiag attached. Also, have you checked the known issues thread in the subforum? (headed there next, will post a link if I find anything that appears relevant).

Good luck with resolution.

this game has been running real odd-ly since the patch and has weird static type sounds after the match and kills are real strange too. any solution? do i need to re boot the whole game or will there be a hot patch to address these issues pilots seem to be having, myself included.

The "static-type" buzzing sounds you hear are from 'Mechs near you where the player has disconnected. It will also happen at the beginning of a match if somebody disconnects, and in the middle of a match too. If you destroy their 'Mech, the buzzing stops. They are aware of the problem, and are working on it.

Don't know of any "kills are real strange" problems. Got specifics?

Huray i just got another 50MB Patch which solved the Problem.

So if you are still struggling with the Version Mismatch open/close the Patcher a few times. If you are lucky you get the 'update' :-)

Deletion of folder and complete reinstall worked, just like TheShock.

the static is at the end of match as i recall and have never heard it before tuesday ever.
had a pilot get 3 of my kills but was no where near me while i was in a brawl deep in the canyon. i also got a kill off one lrm hitting a mech that my team-mate destroyed. my ac-10's & 20's seem to freeze sometimes. i have been on since march playing just about every night and i really notice odd stuff, even more so after the tuesday patch, the game just does not feel right, its hard to explain, like a disturbance in the force or something.

Sorry, no idea there, I am just the unpaid help :) Support tracks these things down, I just know that sometimes things get corrupted in patches, and other times there is an underlying problem that support needs to investigate, which they need as much data from users as possible to do.

Yes, the buzzing was introduced in the latest patch. As I said, they are aware of it and are working on a fix.

Nobody can steal your kills, as they aren't yours to begin with. Whoever gets the hit that causes the death gets the kill. If the other pilot was firing on the guys you were shooting and he got the last shots in, then he gets the kills, not you. Even if he does only one point of damage -- if that one point kills the target, he gets the kill.

What you might be seeing is savior kills -- those happen when your target is firing at somebody on your team who is taking structure damage, and you or somebody else kills the target first. Because you helped save someone on your team from being killed, you get a savior kill credit.

No one else has reported ACs freezing. They are a very popular weapon, and an issue like you describe would be known instantly.

In any case, if you think there are problems caused by the latest patch, you need to make your own thread about them. This is a thread about Version Mismatch, and we are definitely off-topic.

yes i noticed after the fact i posted that i hit the wrong thread! Thanks for your feedback but you did say the buzz was while mechs are still alive, not at the end of game which i stated. And all the killz are Mine lol. I did text to my team-mate "that was a trip" when i got that odd lrm kill. I tend to run support roll and know all too well about saving my Team-mates from getting banged. thanks again,
Kirk 8 year mech pilot 40 years video game experience, also played demo for mechwarrior on pc back in the "duke days" ! stoked to be playing MWO
