Are flexible teams/lances in the future of MWO?

To better clarify on my point here, i have come upon a point at the game where me and another friend have recruited a whole lance of mechwarriors! (4 friends playing).

However, we have reached a point of recruitment where we are at 5 friends playing MWO.
Which leaves the final 5th friend a lonely camper while the other 4 have a jolly good time in a lance of their own.

Will we be able to join games with odd numbers of friends/ teammates?
we dont have 12 for a full team yet and we're stuck at 4 which really discourages the 5th player from playing unless one of us goes offline and theres a slot.

it this in the works? or isit still low priority stuff? or will it be fixed when lobbies are introduced, etc? ui2.0?

Last I remember, there are plans for group sizes from 2-11, with tonnage restrictions that get tighter as the group gets bigger.

I would like larger groups, but at one point it will just lead to pugstomping on a whole different level.

Well if every faction had a lobby for it's drops like every MMO has a Looking For Group system for it's dungeons the pugstoming should be less of a concern. As in it would still happen, but people would at least be able to have a game plan before their in the match and possibly stay with their team (or most of it) post match.

Completely random teams every game makes things far more difficult than it needs too.
