I wish i could see the numbers.
I had 10 straight great games last night<assault> varied loadouts etc. I honestly wouldnt be surprised if the numbers for this game are actually increasing.
The combat, imo, is that good.
Theres the "what is fun "? thread. Well to me, the game is fun every night.

THe point of this thread though is where there stealth improvements made to the game not listed in the patch notes ?
Im fairly certain that there was lighting IVe never seen on river city last night. It looked amazing.
Ive noticed this before on RC. It was about two months ago it seemed they did a lighting pass for the better.

The second thing I noticed could easily be a delusion on my part, but if its not, its an accent to the experience deployed with a deft hand.
WHat i noticed was at the end of a round, there was a static tinged noise almost like music. SUbtle, but very sci fi. I would have to run a few more matches to verify, but for sure I heard it twice. Whether it was my computer acting all weird Idk, but if its an actual addition, well done.

IF there actually were improvements along these lines this past patch..

"WHY YOU NO LIST THEM?

These things are important and will definately sate a portion of the playerbase..
We are just looking for foward progress.

you don't get that many posts by taking the time to make coherent/thoughtful posts.

He's facetiously asking why you're not complaining about the game, in this post. The premise being that people only post here when they want to complain about something.

There is so much whine on the forum, it is a rare gem to read a post that does not whine. So I poked you playfully.

ha, I see. Well i do complain quite a bit, specifically about the pace of dev, but as I played last night I said I gotta make a positive thread tommorrow, im having too m uch fun.
My point was also, if the devs are adding nice improvements to the game , they should list them so people CAN make postive threads about new features.

I noticed static in my headset at the end of matches after the patch. I also thought that some maps/graphics seemed more vivid, including River City Night and Tourmaline Desert. Lastly, my pings were noticeably and consistently better (45-65) than they had been since the launch patch.

Geez, mekabuser, it ain't that easy. People - well, theoretically, - can indeed sometimes make a few positive threads about new features. However, don't forget that - in practice, - nearly often some other people can make many negative threads about new features, too!

I've seen soooo many.

Let's see about that particular change you mention. Imagine PGI 1) indeed re-worked some lightning on some maps and 2) mentioned it in patch notes. What people will say? Will some say "hey, PGI, that's some neat new lightning there, thanks!"? Sure, but may be very very few folks would actually bother to post it. Will some say "hey, PGI, we are asking for <insert anything here> for MONTHS, and you're busy doing cosmetic changes to what was quite ok anyways? SHAME!!!"? I bet some would. Or how about "Hey, PGI, that new lightning sucks!!!" stuff? Etc etc.

Besides, PGI may often have its own doubts whether some new feature would remain or would still be improved / replaced / changed. Mentioning something in patch notes only to mention it was re-done few months later - can cause quite a stir, eh.

There are possibly other reasons, too...

Few threads occur when players are actually content and having fun within the game rather than on the forums.

Positive threads occur when the devs make positive changes the community endorses, additional unexpected changes that add value to the game, and sometimes by simply acknowledging the community with communication.

Negative threads occur when players are not having fun, the game does not match the vision of the community, and players spend more time on the forums complaining rather than participating.

Trolling occurs when complaints become so repetitive that community members start to attack each other due to neglect by community managers, devs, and lack of confidence in the brand.

I didn't think it was static, it sounded like audio popping and crackling. I thought my high end head phones were dying.

Maybe they did something to average out ping. I noticed mine which was previously in the 20s-30s is now in the upper 40s-50s. Even my unit commander who is in Toronto and normally averages about 11 ping had his upwards of 45.
