Greetings 'Clans'.
I say 'Clans' because for bandits or.. some sort of mercenary group you seem to insist on calling yourselves such. First off I would like to say your mechs are actualy very nice, even when left in pieces on the battlefield. I assume you found them in some sort of Star League era cache as they are not designs anyone seems to recognize. Also your insistance on 'bidding' is what? Some sort of betting fixation? What ever, it doesn't really matter as in either case you all seem to be a lot who actually keep their word.
So I have a little proposition for you.
You see in the wake of all the recent fighting in the area I seem to have found myself cut off behind the lines of what ever offensive it is you launched on the area and with my fellow mercenary forces now scattered and planetary defences left mostly as a joke the planetary govenor has fled along with most of the command staff and as much gold, platinum and other precious metals they could stuff on their ship and promptly hauled ass, leaving the rest of us behind. Fortunately there's still a few good techs here and we managed to salvage one of your big 'Dire Wolf' class mechs and get it into working order using parts from a few other fallen machines.
Since the remaining colonists (and I agree with their assesment) belive you are only attacking this world for it's mineral deposits we've taken what's left and hidden it, and then promptly blew up, dismantled or otherwise sabotaged and/or weaponized the remainign mining equipment. As you all seem to dislike mercenaries like me, I even had the boys take the remaining gold and plate the mech we salvaged, just to draw your attention. Also because, hey, why not? Not like I can spend the money they paid me to do this gig, since I'm stuck on this rock and can't get off on my own.
Which brings me to my offer.
You guys seem to like 'bidding' and Honour.
I'll be honest, I don't really get the rules but here's my offer:
You meet me on the field of battle for what's left of the facility, the salvaged mineral deposits and what ever else it is you're here for.
You beat me, it's all yours and at least I get to go out in a blaze of glory trying to defend people (I mean hey, I might like C-Bills but I took a contract and I mean to see it to it's end).
I beat you, you take me, the remaining colonists and as much cargo as we can fit in one of your drop ships and drop us off on the nearest hospitable world, and you can still have what's left behind. Mostly the people just hate it here and don't want to be put under your thumb, and me? Well I just like a good fight and more importantly I mean to honour my contract.
So I'll see you on the battle field, and see if you're really so honourable as you claim to be.
Assuming you aren't too cowardly to take on one lonely merc.
