I have noticed, in two games, that the capping speed is ridiculously fast during Assault. Both games on Tera Therma. When a defending Mech moved into the base area, the cap did not stop it sped up. The other issue is it took 3 Mechs to cap the opposing base, about 45 seconds.

I wish I could cap this fast in conquest....

Happened again this time it took 23 seconds to capture the base the whole game lasted 2:37 second! This is not how I want to play Assault.... (Canyon Network)

1. Cap accelerator
2. more than one player standing in the cap zone
3. none of your team went to defend (including yourself)
4. Video or no proof of a 23 second cap (the free test version of Fraps lets you make a 30 second video... that leaves you a buffer of 7 seconds if you hit the record button too soon)

Its apprently the way others want to play it though. If you want to play a mode where capping one point doesnt cause the game to finish, then you should play Conquest. That game mode only ends if 750 points are gathered on one team or all mechs from one team are destroyed.

EDIT;

There was a bug where sometimes a player is randomly assigned to the wrong team for capping. He would count as an enemy (cant defend the own base and stops a cap of the enemy base)... although I have not seen that particular bug in ages myself (manily because I dont go for the cap regularly.. but i still do every now and then)

I may not be the oldest kid on the block, but am I by far not the youngest.
I am well aware of everything you mentioned. I am telling you out of experience what is different.
I saw something different, I mentioned it, but according to you, I am just wasting your time.

Just for the record, I don't use Fraps I use MSI Afterburn and I was more than willing to share but you already decided I am wrong.
