So we know the next 6 mechs that will come out including this month and they are the project phoenix mechs. Assuming PGI keeps to their schedule and releases them 1 a month and also 1 hero a month, we have 5 heros coming which will presumably be of existing chassis.

So What Hero Mech do you want and what is the fluff from official lore?

Currently released Chassis with no hero included:

Spider
Jenner
Raven
Blackjack
Hunchback
Trebuchet
Quickdraw
Catapult (The Jester! November's Heroic Hero!)

Some Chassis are ripe for a second hero:
Centurion (AH, YLW2)
Cataphract (Games #1 Mech)

What Hero Mech do you want to see? and what would it be?

The Novemeber Hero is the Jester. This seemingly all energy hard points catapult will offer K-2 fans some joy and the rest of us some pain!

Thus I've removed the catapult votes. As it was in second place a few of you should recast your votes!

I'll Start

I would like to see the Murakumi (Cloud-Gatherer) piloted by Isoroku Kurita
This would be a refitted Hunchback 4N (the ballistics missile variant)

The mech would come as such:
Two color paint job Black base with a Red Dragon painted in Japanese Style wrapping around the mech. The black would be a flat color and the red dragon would be shiny giving it that pop factor.

Armor: 336 of 338
Engine: 225 STD cap of 275
Hardpoints(LA,LT,CT,H,RT,RA): 1E, 1B2M, NA, 1E, NA, 1E
Armament: 2ML, 1 SL, 1 AC5 (2 tons) 2 SRM4 (1 ton)
Special: 13 DHS, Case, Endosteel

I would buy that for 15 dollars.

Most likely pick up a catapult hero if it is different than the rest (missles in arms lasers in side torsos and ballistics in CT would do it) other than that maybe pick up a hero cent if It has missles ballistic and energy. I have the YLW but dislike not even getting a missle slot. However if I decide on the boars head I probably won't be picking up Heros any time soon.

There would be epic howls over the YLW2 unless it was inferior to the YLW1 in some respect.

Perhaps, but it would be something like

1 Gauss Rifle right arm, 2 MPL in CT, and 2MPL in the left arm. Moving the second ballistic in the right arm to two energy in the left arm at the cost of being able to equip an AC 20 wouldn't be putrid.

The AH was a mech introduced in the game already, and while it had 3 ballistics and 2 missiles, it was always the slowest of the Centurions, and to restore it as a purchase only mech would be beyond insulting to those of us who waited so long for it to be restored. (Of the Centurions it was the lowest end in terms of engine size, by a full -25 rating compared to other standard centurions).

That said... A non-hero BJ-2 is quite overdue.

Over the next 4 months as the Phoenix mechs roll out I'm guessing they will continue with the rest of the "original 4" so Catapult, Hunch, and Jenner. Then for the last one, I'll say Treb, if for no other reason than PGI apparently hates light Heroes.

You know PGIs reasoning for removing the AH as well as I do, to make the YLW viable. Since $$$ are the concern there I included it as a hero, I would be pissed too, this mech needs to be re added(C-bills) along with the refit of the yen-lo-wang(hero).

I'd also favor a non hero Black Jack BJ-2 but they obviously omitted it for a reason when adding 4 other blackjacks.

All in all I just want these mechs because I like the chassis, I will pay for them if need be.

The epic howls would be baseless, basically. Except maybe people would complain about it as a money grab or something? Dunno...

It would basically be a separate "Mk 2" of the Yen Lo "Mk 1"

- Can't mount an AC/20 (lower arm actuator was re-added)
- Same Engine (but comes with a 200XL)
- Same Armor as YLW Stock
- Starts with SHS Stock
- 2 Energy HP's are added to the Left Arm, removing 1 from the Center.

Bonuses (advantages?):

- Gains TSM (TSM makes the Mech faster when heat is really high, if melee were in the game, it would also mean more damage by punching or using a melee weapon - TSM can not be mounted in conjunction with MASC) (Second Note: However, TSM could be added as an upgrade for any Mech, as it is a poor man's version of MASC with secondary melee benefits)
- Gains 1 more Energy Weapon.

I do. Which at the time the missiles were the flavor because (unknown to many), the missiles did over 18 damage per missile. But now that the phase is over, there isn't a reason for it to not be in.

The BJ got omitted because it'd require that much more artwork for a variant that would be the exclusive user of missiles.

Are you referring to artwork as in new pictures (of the Hero mech) or modeling? Because they've already stated that they re-use some parts from various mechs to keep a consistent look.

For every mech, the texture maps for weapons are attached to the mech's paintjobs.

If it's not the case, then there's absolutely no reason not to have included the BJ-2.

Are we going to get hero mech from the pheonix range, i'm guessing we will, but, I'm also thinking sales will hurt as a fair percentage will have the package

hmm I think a Treb or QD could use some loving and see what they bring to the table..

but to be honest i'm alittle meh over hero's at present, though I think i'd buck up at the thought of a Zeus or a Banshee, and maybe a fast Raven
