Just curious.

Also, do you tend to pug or run with premades, or what?

I almost always run LRMs due to my terrible fps making it difficult to track targets with direct fire weapons.
I tend to use at least two LRM15s mixed in with other weapons on most of my mechs. I almost always run in premades with my unit though I sometimes pug.

I frequently run LRM's, and nearly always play solo pug drops. They're quite useful in pugs, in fact.

I only run LRM's in mechs with 4+ missile hardpoints, and then I predominately run all lrm5's.

Consider that 3 lrm5's outdps one lrm20, at a fraction of the tonnage. The rest of the launchers are 2.5 tons per 5 tubes, whereas the 5 is 2 tons. The 5's cycle faster and fire tighter. 4 5's do comparable DPS to 2 15's at a mere 8 tons and 4 crits.

I'm not using them as a pure lrm platform, but as a support weapon. If my target lacks ams, I'll chainfire them for supressionand cockpit shake, otherwise group fire.

They're small and light, so they can be used alongside larger primary weapons easily. It gives me great firing options when piggies insist on walking into my line of fire and such. They're exceptional at legging lights running around me too.

I've noticed a significant resurgence in pug drops with LRM's recently. A lot of them are on BM's, it seems.

I will usually run with an LRM 15 on most heavy or assault mechs if I can. Not because the damage is great, but for two reasons;

1) LRMs are great psychological weapons. People freak out when missiles are coming for them, even if it's only an LRM 15. This can force enemy mechs to stay in cover, rather then charge me (or my team).

2) It fits my optimal play style. When I use LRMs I play more conservatively and don't find myself being the tip of the spear in a brawl. This is a good thing, because I usually die FAST as the first mech leading the charge. I'm a better direct-support player, so having LRMs lets me stay 100m behind my buddies firing LRMs, then I unleashe everything else once the teams start mixing it up.

I usually run with 1 or two lancemates, but I also PUG occasionally, too.

I run a Stalker with 4 LRM 15's and 4MedLas. I almost exclusively run with PUG groups. I tend to try not to fire off missiles at first and let people know there is a big LRM boat. Weaker players may run out into the open right away, but smart players wait to see how many boats there are. Once you get them out in the open...well, anything in the open dies. I typically score 500ish points in a games with this loadout. You just need to be cautious...the 4ML will keep some bugs off you, but good light pilots will see your close range weakness and eat you.

Atlas DDC. ECM 3xLRM15(1800missiles) 2xAC5(3tonsammo) Tag Standard300 12dbls.

Can pug ok

If you get a group with a light mech who can use good UAVs you will wreck face.

Best supported by jumpsnipers, you lay down suppression fire so everybody starts backing and screens start shaking then they get free hits as they pop up with no retaliation.

All my mechs that come with LRM stock I tend to keep LRMs on
My (currently sole) Atlas mounts 2 LRM 10, 2 AC5 and 2med pulse (cause I had 4 tons left over, but only 2 slots)
My Centurions all mount 2 LRM 5 because that weighs less than 1 LRM 10, and fires faster.

Still working with my Phoenix mechs.... so no real word on their builds yet.

I Pug or at most 4 man drop (usually only 2 though)
I mount them because I have found indirect firepower to be very useful most matches, and on mechs like the Atlas, they are not only good for that, but good for softening up a target as I approach.

Took my BLR-1S out of the hanger for the first time with 50 LRMs, 11 tons of ammo, 4 MLs, 11 DHS, endo, 300 STD. Did ok, a couple of kills, a bunch of assists, 350-odd damage. I got nervous early on because an enemy Locust paid me a visit, but I scared him off with my lasers.

LRMs are pretty much go big or go home... That said I do run a LCT-3S with 2xLRM5, but it's more of a joke then a real missile platform, but the people running Atlas D-DC's with ECM has dropped and alot of people have not been running AMS like they usually would so it can do ok...

I own catapults (C1, C4, A1, K2) which all have run LRMs on and off... I tend to strip solo launchers from mechs like the BM or THD, not enough kick to make the ammo worth carrying.

I run a LRM-15 on my TDR-5S(P).

It seems to be doing okay (only seven drops in, but about half of the kills are LRM kills):

That's PUGging, of course.

With 48 salvos, you can fire it on cooldown from 900m or so, closing in while using the LL to take pot-shots. At 270m you add SRMs and MLs, and at 180m you stop the LRM and add in the MGs - if the target is still alive.

It actually feels pretty good using a mixed loadout like Babcock and Weissman intended :D

I only just pug. I have them on most mechs, as either main or secondary.

I find artemis works best, more likely to hit faster moving mechs with missiles. A couple recent loadouts i use, 2 Lrm 10 w. Artemis on my thunderbolt, as more of a main weapon. On my battle master I have a single Lrm 10 as a scare tactic as well to do a bit of damage if an ally has a lock while im charging towards them. I don't run much more Lrms than what I said above, other than my dual Lrm 15 catapult.

I run Catapults (A1 and C4) I love the C4 because it fits a pair of LRM20. Launched together they are impossible to stop with AMS even multiples and hit HARD. For both A1 and C4 my back-up weapons are SSRM's. The A1 uses a BAP and the C4 uses a TAG. Only multiple lights with multiple ECM confound my A1 build.
I PUG more often than not and have very good damage scores 450-600 commonly and over 900 on two very satisfying Drops.
When killed early my scores are usually 150-300. Kills are infrequent but I do get them, usually 1 or 2.

Recently I tried the Battlemaster with 2x 15 and 2x 10 lrms, massive damage and doing 2+ kills per match win or lose.

Cheers

I am running a near stock SHD-5M with an ALRM-20 and an UAC/5. It does ok, mostly more than 300 dmg, hopefully it will rise when i unlock the elite bonus on the SHDs.

Haven't ran it yet but I'm looking forward to trying a BLR-1S with LRM50-ART, XL340, tag, 3mL, 10 tons of ammo.

I run 2 LRM platforms...

Catapult C1 (1.64 KDR, Avg DMG 265): 2LLaser, 2MLasers, and 2LRM10s. Has DHS, Endo, and I believe a XL295 or XL285.

Thunderbolt 5S (2.00 KDR, Avg DMG 241): 1 A/C10, 3MLasers, 1LLaser, 1LRM10. Has DHS (I think) and Endo. Want to say engine is a XL305.

Both carry 2 tons of LRM ammo if I recall.

Cat C1 isn't too bad with the dual LRMs. I tend to do well with it. The Thunderbolt honestly only has the 1 LRM10 because it feels like it just needs missiles with that large round launcher.

I don't use the chassis as LRM boats, but use them with LRMs for when an enemy gets caught in the open or my team is targeting an enemy and I can rain death even though I have no LOS.

I PUG, and I do like these loadouts.

I've still got my 5M with 5 LRM5, 4 LL, TAG. Pure LRM boats are not really my thing (far too situational), but a couple 5's make a decent backup weapon, especially if you lack ballistic slots.
Oh, and I pretty much always drop solo. Simply don't have the time to be in a unit ATM.

Spamtaro - Kintaro 19 with 4x LRM5, 2x ML plus TAG. Basically a fun build. Cannot hold the ground on its own but in agroup a great and fast supporter.

My founders Catapult is still my most played mech.

2 x LRM15 + Artemis
3 x Med Laser
1 x TAG
BAP
300XL
JJs
Advanced Target Delay
Advance Sensor Range
Advanced Seismic Sensor

I only pug so I need to be fast, mobile and carry TAG to find my own targets. Anything else and I'd be sitting behind a rock wondering where my team went cause they all disappeared under enemy ECM because no one carries BAP or hits R.

I always try to stay about 600m behind them main group and keep them between me and the enemy group until i find some targets. Firing at anything over 700m is a typically waste of missiles. 300m - 500m is typically the range I try to be in.

Never be out in the open, always have something next to you you can duck behind. Try not to fire in the first 5 min of the match. If you start lobbing LRMS at the first target that pops up the rest of the enemy team will be cautious. If you wait they'll think there's no LRM cover and get careless.

With the Artemis + TAG anything that rushes at me takes about 90% of the missiles to the CT.

etc
