So, i witnessed an increase of 11 vs 12 (or less vs 12) matches since 2 weeks and with the last patch the number has again increased to a level that feels no longer insignificant.

It really has gotten bad. Probably 1/4 are 11v12 or worse matches this patch, and thats not counting DCs. Oddly too, it seems to be screwing the PUG side of the equation the hardest. Put simply, it seems to be accommodating premades that is leading to the 11v12 matches, making it a doubly bitter pill to swallow.

I have noticed one team complete, and maybe 3 others on the other team, then a slow process of filling that team, with at least 25% of the time, that teams starting a player short.

I can confirm this too, its getting really annoying. All my matches in the last hour had been 11 vs 12 (or worse) from begin with. Thats at least 6 matches in a row.
Usually its one or two players who take really long to load up. And often they drop completely. But there also frequent DC during the match, when the client crashes. Happens to me sometimes too, but its a lot better after i reinstalled the game.
I would really appreciate a reconnect function if the match is still going on.
This should be added before CW and UI 2.0. Because planet wars don't make much sense, if 10% of the players drop before the match even started. Also you can optimize the Matchmaker like hell, there is no point if players keep DC that often.
I'm sure the devs got accurate statistics about the dc's, but my feeling says me that this is happening more often right now (maybe due to many new players?).

Yes, my guild is seeing this too. I wonder if it's high ELO manifesting or... low #s playing or... matchmaker got a bug put into it???
