Since the latest patch the MM is worse than ever.
This is the 1st game ever for me, where AFK farming becomes a real alternative to actually playing the game. Not because i like it, but because it is more fun than the frustrating matches the MM produces.
90% of the games are extremely unbalance either tonnage wise or skillwise or both. I don't even cout the numbers of DCs etc. And for those matches i usually have to wait 2-3,5 minutes.
Better remove ELO althogether and give us a MM balanced around tonnage and premades.

Yeah ELO rarely works. Very hard to get a good match these days that warrant a 'good game' at the end of it.
This is the kind of matches we've been getting and we aren't normally this lucky as they thought it was a bright idea to send most of their assault forces to deal with a bunch of lights.

Notice a) Their 200 ton weight advantage and b ) How many Assault mechs they have? Safe to say it's highly likely if the enemy team didn't have that crutch it would have been the other way round!

If you don't want matches like that, I suggest not dropping with a 4 locust lance.
I'm not an apologist, but I'm just saying everyone knows MM doesn't work well with extreme tonnage premades and while the devs are figuring it out you should try to work with what you got, for your own mental health's sake.

It's a known issue that matchmaker has a tough time accommodating the almighty 4-man specialist drop.
Also, 4-man weekend warrior troll teams populate the servers on weekends. They roll pugs because they have no alternative.

If you dropped as a 4 man locust lance you only have yourself to blame strayed if however that was completely random and bad luck then yup MM is broken
I had the misfortune of being in a team with a 4 man locust lance..games lost before it starts..soon as the start weighting four man and 12 man so this kind of stupid can't happen the better things will be

Yeah the 4 man Locust was perhaps not the best one to use, but to be fair we have done considerably well before in 4 man locust drops just because they attract so much aggro especially in conquest (OH LOOK CHASE THE SQUIRREL!). I need to get more screenshots of when we run fairly balanced lances and compare the weight with opposing team, cause I have noticed matches when we steamroll because of our sheer weight as well. But in meantime, here's a better example but it was not a 4 man locust lance or anything. Just two of us running lights so it shouldn't have produced such a massive weight difference or impacted matchmaking that much.
Enemy team has a clear 115 ton advantage and way more assaults.

Edit: Got an even better example. Enemy with a 150 ton weight advantage to enemy and we were running 2 heavies, 1 medium and a light. So no, I'd argue it's happening regardless if we are having extremes or not. Need to go through screenshots see if there's ones when we've steamrolled and I didn't notice we had an x* advantage over them.
